Does Big Bud Knock your Socks off????

"Big yield is true, Mellow High also true.So you wind up with a lot of tasty (medium Grade) buds.I found the buzz from this bud never quite reached high enough for me.No matter how much of it I smoked I couldn't get any higher off it.I would say that as far as highs go,it has a pretty low ceiling.It did win a cannabis cup in 1989!That was almost 20 years ago!There are many many better strains that have come along in the last 19 years.Big Bud just can't compete with the newer strains.This would be like a forty-something year old woman trying to win the Miss America Pageant.Maybe this analogy is a little sexist or ageist,But we live in a world where people are always judging....even cannabis! "High yielder and easy to grow, but the high wasn't very strong and I ended up getting sick of toking it if im honest. Also 3 plants went hermie after 30 days of flowering,but maybe this was due to a small orange light on my socket extension."

"As far as Big bud goes,I just like so many other strains better,and I never see it at the clubs as meds.It is good breeding stock to beef up almost anything and make it heavier yielding strain.It does not seem to be in high demand,and probably not what you want to grow if you are selling to the clubs.I am not saying Big Bud isn't being sold.I am saying that it is probably renamed for marketing purposes.I never hear anyone ask for it by name either. Name recognition goes a long way at the clubs."

Yeah Sensi are the bomb.

I've honestly never had Jack Flash, but Jack Herer is one of my fav's and since they don't make feminized Herer I kinda had no choice. It's apparently easier to grow with it's added skunk genetics. The high is supposedly warm and cerebral, but I'm sure that all depends on the phenotype.Sandmonkey do you know what the Jack Flash high is like compared with the Jack Herer?
I want to get one, maybe I'll get a fem seed of each and compare.

I've heard good things about Jack Flash also. I'm going to have to make my decision on what strain to grow soon. I cant wait I'm finally able to grow on a bit bigger scale. So any other recommendations on a strain with Huge yields and a decent smoke. Doesn't have to be top notch as long as it has a nice kick.

Take a look at mr Nice's Critical Mass; a re-worked version of Big Bud. Big yields, good high, but no special taste/aroma.

Critical mass is very appealing alright but I'd like to start with feminised seeds. Spice brothers did a Critical mass x Hash plant called Critical hash which was feminised but I cant find it in stock anywhere.. You guys know of anything else with similar production to these???
