Yep. Afghan Kush Ryder is bomb. Also try Dinafem Amnesia. Critical Jack too, but not much yield. Amnesia XXL get very large.the term " dry cycle " fixes most of the size issues ..... they really like dry fluffy soil and bland feedings good luck on your next round brother ... they really are the home growers best choice for medical IMO ..... they have enough CBD to work magic with daily pains .... and more then enough THC to get you blitzed .... afghan kush ryder from world of seeds would be my suggestion ..... they can yield big after you get to know the strain ..... but give it 11 + weeks and its some really good like pain pill buzz without the nasty addiction
They are plants that are not dependent on light cycle to bloom. You can keep them under any light period and they will flower when they're ready. What is an auto?
They make perfect sense for me!Dunno cant see how it makes sense to grow a auto strain when it needs 3-5weeks of veg lol
most breeders descriptions ive read say : plant grows three or four sets of leafes and then starts to flower.
I have to call bullshit.
Everything I read here on riu tells me it also takes 4 weeks veg at least before autos start to flower for most members..... so it was not just me having bad luck or something....
I grew 3 different auto strains in this season just for experimenting purpose.
60 day wonder , lowrider 1, brutalis automatic.
not one started flowering after plant grew three or four leaflets.
lowrider took for ever ended up 2feet (not realy low eh?) the brutalis was qualitywise the best but I had 1 female 1 hermie 1 male ended 2.5 feet with much space between nodes. The 60 day wonder took like 90 days and was the first finishing but a dwarf like 0.5ft. Not one yielded more than 10g if dry bud (popcorn) and
that was outdoor started end of may beg. June so not a bad time for autos outdoor. They grew in bigass containers like 10 gal.
I crossed the lowrider x brutalis and popped some indoors a few days ago. If those disapoint the same way I am done with autos.
I see no reason to grow em again except filling empty vegspaces.
I can run most photos 12-12 from seed and end up with a one foot plant with a fat mainbud.
I have only seen popcorn in the autos I grew.
No offense to all you autolovers but sorry I cant see why to go auto yet.
every big bud or incredible bulk even most freebie photos will outperform any auto I grew at straight 12-12 from seed or one week of veg in yield, time to finish, and energy consumption.
I have 22 years of growing under my belt.... always did photos....that was the first time I did autos as for experimenting as I stated above ....but I guess thats all for me in regards to autoflowering strains in my garden.
Wow.Does growing autos make sense...
No..
End of story
Does this post make sense? I was thinking describing win 55 killed it. I was just trying to show how its still a "cannabinoid"
As long as yiu dont try to play on words as cannabis is a "facultative photoperiodic" plant
With many equatorial sats autoflowering under certain conditions
Without going too much into the pharmacological aspects. Thca will cross the blood brain barrier in high doses. Our pets having a much greater reaction. Binding affinities many times stronger will still feel effects unlike humans.
Cbd acts on some 11 pathways not counting those indirect. This occurs in the brain. There are cb2 receptors outside the brain that can be hit to reduce inflammation. But opiate receptors wont be hit for example among many others. Whats commonly misunderstood is thc has relatively similar binding affinities for both cb1 and cb2.
Thc binds..well specifically
cb1 receptors respond to the c-9 position of the cyclohexane ring, the phenolic hydroxyl and carbon/non polar side chains at c3...
check structure of win 55,napthalene ring and cyclohexane ring, carbonyl group and phenolic hydroxyl, and morpholinoethyl group
2 oxygens a phenolic hydroxyl at position 1 and an oxygen pyran ring opposite, interacting through hydrogen bonding with a lysine residue, the opening of the pyran ring not being significant...
Now not only does this carboxyl group -cooh ..nitice the oxygens and hydrogen..alter this hydrogen bonding
When we look at synthetic cannabinoids in drug design..
acyclic ring was found to be better than a heterocyclic ring, with a cyclohexane ring being optimal. In addition, the size and the position of the substituent on the cyclic ring is important to maintenance of CB1 affinity...position of double bonds within the cyclohexane ring effect activity. For example, moving the double bond of 9-THC to position 8 (as in delta8-THC) decreases CB1affinity. Bu about 30%
methyl (less likely to hydrogen bond) ethyl etc generally kills short side chains kill activity, 4-6 is best, branched chain increases activity.. increasing ring size to say heptane increases activity of both, conversion to a pyran cuts cb2 .adding oxy, hydroxy ketones increase cb2 .a sulfur substitution anywhere ruins it.
oxy in the phenyl ring increases cb1 can't substitute the phenol or alter placement as I was mentioning about delta 8, serious alterations ruin it
, degree of saturation as well as the position of the double bond in the cyclohexane ring effects cb1
I could literally carry on for a whole page.. receptor binding.. relies on the 3 things mentioned in my post above with slight variations drastically altering binding affinity and huge changes kill it. As decribed
So again the addition of the polar -cooh decreases activity butvit also effects the logp of the compound
Cbd logp in the high 6's thc Bout 7
In practice optimum colonic absorption is 1.32, intestinal is 1.35, oral 1.8, Cns 2, percutaneous at 2.6 and sublingual 5.5.
So this effects how we make the base to get the polar cbda into the skin
I rampbled like fuck and prolly made nosense...im not a vet and not completely sure on any pharmacological differences among humans and yur pets. But between 20 and 30 fold increase in potency is known
I love the kush and I will get me some afghan kush rider and something from mephisto with my next seedorder.the term " dry cycle " fixes most of the size issues ..... they really like dry fluffy soil and bland feedings good luck on your next round brother ... they really are the home growers best choice for medical IMO ..... they have enough CBD to work magic with daily pains .... and more then enough THC to get you blitzed .... afghan kush ryder from world of seeds would be my suggestion ..... they can yield big after you get to know the strain ..... but give it 11 + weeks and its some really good like pain pill buzz without the nasty addiction
I like landraces most too.Ill continue to grow mainly landraces and have some of the nicest smoke and hash.
Typical autoflowers just arent as good. Plus cloning and seeds.
Lmao i was wondering how crazy my post was. Im sure the guy didnt even read
yes to me your last sentence in the last post somehow made the impression of frustration. Maybe ya not maybe ya just high as shit thats why I forgive you bro.Oh no i wanted it read. It goes deep into the sructure of the compound but still relatable. I think a little prior knowledge would have been helpful. I was trying to tie the effects of a compounds logp with the structure and how that effects binding affinity. Being discussed was hitting cb2 receptors through undecarbed weed thca and cbda etc
I didnt realize i seemed frustrated. I am high as shit bro
Sounds great!I mainly run southern mexican and central american sativas.
The flavors are unique, powerful and will get you higher than hybridized strains with more cbd. Around here all "dro" is much the same so it sells like hot cakes
12/12 from seed with the right strain for photos and you wind up with what basically are autoflowers in terms of flowering time - except you can clone them, they take less energy and are higher quality pretty consistently. There's not a lot in it you know bro,on average an auto takes 75 days so needs 1500 light hrs at 20/4 where a 100 day photo vegged at 20/4 for 30 days then 70 days at 12/12 uses 1440 light hrs. I do love photos too but the majority I grow are Autoflowes.
Think Different is probably the most disappointing strain I've ever grown. Yields buckets of garbage. Saw someone over at Sannies forum saying the same thing with a more recent batch.. I grew mine when they first came out and of course autoflowers are continually bred because mothers and fathers can't be kept, but similar complaints to me.If you want a quick one then grow mephisto genetics sour crack every single one I've seen is ready at 55-70 days from seed. And 70 days is for people who like them really Amber. My sour crack showed preflower at day 14 probably about 3-4 leaf sets. I think I harvested at day 60 if not a couple before that. But a lot of breeders lie. I would recommend Mephisto genetics or Dutch passion before you give up.
It's interesting that you say that about Think Different. A mate of mine back in Scotland was growing them for a bit and raving about it. He was pinching power....tsk tsk so didn't care about lights. I never did get a smoke but I always questioned it's prowess. I think it was more to do with yield though. Sounds like the Power plant of autos.Think Different is probably the most disappointing strain I've ever grown. Yields buckets of garbage. Took way way longer to finish than advertised as well. Putting aside that DP puts out largely garbage regular seeds, I would have a very difficult time trusting them with autoflowers which are already typically inferior.
Mephisto is interesting to me. Sweet Seeds as well. Not many others though. And there's a 0% chance I'll find something better than I've found in my regular plants I feel quite confident not that it matters because it will only be around a short time anyway.
*added* Also TD.. so it would get some people high, but not me in particular as I have too high tolerance. Also the smell was what really turned me off. Its just bad. And no, it's not hazy. I have smoked a shit load of hazes, pure, hybrids or otherwise. It just smells bad - obviously a bit subjective there.
Man you realy seem to be my soulmate.Think Different is probably the most disappointing strain I've ever grown. Yields buckets of garbage.
