I never disagreed.. The kid asked if swag seeds always equals swag harvests. Which i answered not always, i have 8 mothers from very fine genetics if i were to post here you would probably agree with me as well. That wasnt the question he asked.. If i was a noob grower approaching this site for advice, i feel its pretty bunk to point the kid to purchasing Cali Connection - Tahoe OG genetics or some shit.... Swag seeds dont produce Stable or Consistent plants.. Unknown Genetics... Which is quite the fluctuating difference. I bet if you gave a swag seed to a experience grower like ourselves, We wouldn't harvest swag.. Would we?
 
You can't home grow schwag. Schwag is nasty because it is poorly mass grown in a big field, smuggled, aged, and compressed. During it's journey to you, it can undergo many temperature changes, as well as extreme temperatures. It can be smuggled in a gas tank. It can be stored on a farm next to donkey shit, and absorb the smell. By the time it gets up to some cities in the USA, it can be 2-3 years old. Very little respect is paid to product quality by anyone who handles it in that period.

Freshly grown weed from schwag seeds can be as good as any of the best, but there is no guarantee. You have to plant MANY seeds, to increase chances of getting a vigorous female. Either way, your freshly grown bud is fresh. THC degrades over time.

Good genetics are always better; planting bagseed can be a crapshoot. You never know how long it will take to flower, or if it is disease resistant, or mold resistant, or a vigorous grower, or potent, until you grow it. When you buy a seed from a reputable seller, you know what to expect, and it's going to be a strong grower, and potent, no gambling.
 
yeah it sure wouldnt be like the junk that it came in, it would be carefully maintained and seedless and tasty. validating my first post that it can only be as good as its genetics.

Of course that's the case... But seeds that are 2-3 Years old have a 100% Germination rate. New growers should not always start with the finest genetics, But then again that's on his decision to purchase them.

Seeds that are 2-3 years old have a 100% germination rate? Wow, so that explains it! I'm growing some bag seeds that I had in the fridge a few years. They are flowering nicely...one smells like rhubarb and the other like a skunk and I looooove them like lil green babies.

That being said they aren't schwag seeds. I mean, if a dealer coats their brick isht with Raid™ to make it more addictive, like, what effect might that have on the seeds? Just seems like even if the seeds in schwag were possibly decent to begin with they go through a lot of abuse to have very high chances of even germinating. But that's all conjecture on my part.

Seeds from 1-5 Years old have a 100% Germination rate with proper storage (Dark, Cool Enviroment) for instance inside a swag nug is a ideal environment. Yes the abuse can be a number of things. a hermie, a grower was lazy to take care of. Once it produces seeds thats where all the energy goes.. Not to potency. Heat Burns, Unproper Harvest, Curing & trimming. Handling usually breaking a decent about of trichromes while maintaining. It could have been skunk #1 from a dank breeder in Amsterdam (Not likely), Just who knows how many people fucked with it before we got it... They could have harvested them in mexico and tied the plant to the back of there bicycle after harvest and brought it to town.. Who the fuck knows. It will produce a seed that is as good as it genetics let it, and how those genetics react in your environment. Is what you will harvest. May be Swag may be Tight shit!

Anyone who owns the book call this kid out.. How do you think DJ short saved all those heratige strains?? over a few months?? dont think soo He saved them for 5+ years in prestine condition, he mentioned all of them germinating, If your gonna call me out be prepared to search for or pay for the info, Cause all the info i spread i read in books or with tons of research. I have every jorge cervantes, Mel Frank & Ed Rosenthal book ever written, I read the DJ short book a homie had, Didnt have much info but it did say that. Buy the book, or read it in the store.. then come home and tell me im right.

if stored airtight, in a dark cool place with a dessicant weed seeds last for years and again. dj short breeds outstanding genetics, but dont fuk up and buy knockoffs

if thats the book with ed rosenthal from a couple decades ago, they also talk about curing and smoking leaves and male plants. so...
if it comes from shwag and you grow it right, it may not be shwag. whether it's potent could be a genetic lottery, but just cause it's from shwag doesn't make it "not medicinal". if you need cbd than it wont be the hindu kush you're looking for, but for an effective anti-depressant...
if it still comes out like shit, and you babied it, and it's a sativa, than it was probably originally grown somewhere with much more light intensity than most of the places we're growing in the states.
don't hate the bagseeds! i've popped off shit from seed companies that's been crap, it's all relative
 
Hell yeah, In the DJ short book he talked about keeping seeds throughout poverty for 5 years and every single seed he kept was 100% germ rate. I was amazed! He also talked about proper seed storage.
