Does hydro not produce smelly weed?

On my 2nd DWC grow. First was dinafem cheese, now Cindy99.
Neither produced much of a smell. Even the buds after the cure have little or no smell.
Is this normal for hydro?

The bud smell could be due to your strain or your curing process. Without proper curing its easy for your buds to smell like grass or nothing. Check out the Harvest and Curing section. Trial and error. Kind of weird that we want something so many people try to hide to reek so bad you can smell it through the bag, tupper ware and the back pack.

Try Critical kush hydro/dirt/cure/no cure it will smell. good weed but damn it's stinky, I have 2 canlite 8x40s and a bigblue ozone gen.

I agree with those above me.

Review your drying, doing so too quickly will throw away all your smell/taste. Curing is also important. These are the two things that will bring out that smell& taste!

Ill second that stunk up my whole apartment with two dwc plants
Carbon filters are key

Some plants stink some dont. Kinda like people lol. I have an unknown strain right now that has very little smell but is kick ass! Also the longer I left the last run of plants the less they smelled and that was two different strains.

Mine STINK. STINK!!!

They're very smelly and continue to be so after curing. So, no, it's not typical to have non-smelling plants, but depending on the strain it might be normal.

All of the above! And don't trim wet, chop off buds, and screen dry. Usually = Haaaaaay!
Pluck fans leaves, and hang dry for best results. IMO

I wish it didn't... I did a micro grow for somebody (anything under 1KW is micro to me)
350W HPS/MH in DWC. Jack H/White Widow. I could smell it outside of the house.

Im working c99, and it has a fruity smell to it. I've got one pheno thats a monster but I'm looking for the pineapple one.

Even in veg I can smell the c99 in DWC.

Mixed spectrum lights and PK ripening agents totally get the smell going.

Not trying to endorse a product here but I'm running "Terpinator" by Rhizoflora in my tanks this run, its supposed to enhance the aromas.
Wont know if it works unless I try it right?..
