Does Hydro yeild more than soil?,,, if so how much

Im just poking the bears. to each his own everyone. what works for some, doesn't work for others. have a good one everybody.

Ya yield, timeframe, you know, the point of the thread. Hydro is way faster and produces more. You even said it in your own post...."so what if it takes a couple extra weeks". As for the other soap box your standing on preaching from goes, your wrong there too. Im gonna be straight with you, your probably going to flip shit right now but im not argueing with you anymore. You dont know enough to argue with. Hydro is faster and produces more than soil, fact. We can at least agree on that right? ;)
 
Shluby....your getting 24 to 32 ounces of trimmed, dried, cured top quality patient ready buds from a single ended 600 watt hps lamp? No lumber, no larf??? Traditional horizontally mounted? And your plants ars in a living fully amended organic soil???????????????????
 
I been growing cannabis for almost 25 years. Saw ALOT OF growrooms. Sown ALOT of seed....hundreds upon hundreds of strains. Grown every which way you can think of. I have never and i mean never seen anyone get 2 pounds of trimmed dried and cured top shelf quality buds in a traditional single ended horizontally mounted 600 watt high pressure sodium lamp. What is your secret Mr. Skill Level???

i have a pheno of black domina that really puts off the weight man. i can get 4 8oz plants under an oversized hood. in a tent with tight walls and reflectivity might have helped that out. i dont know. 1.5lbs is very easy to achieve with 600 watt. all about knowing how to grow the strains you grow, canopy management is a big thing and knowing what the plant is gonna do when you flip it.

Edit: sorry i missed your first post. This was when i was using age old organics bottled junk. i didn't use very much of it, was feeding at 1/4-1/2 recommended strength the whole time. flushed for 2-3 weeks usually.

i am in the process of letting my 20gal no till containers compost right now so i can plant in them in about 3 weeks. i have no doubt that the fully ammended soil will grow my plants just as big and MORE healthy than before. i'm expecting the yield to stay the same or increase really. i actually discovered living soil through vegetable gardening and trying to be more efficient in general. then the lightbulb turned on and i was like shit, i can do this with my plants. got online, found some recipes. i have already taken some botany and soil management classes so it was very easy for me to dive into.
 
Wow. Your doing something no one else i have ever HEARD of doing in the history of indoor cannabis cultivation. And alot people would agree. Hitting 24 ounces consistently every run is easy with a traditional 600 watt hps huh? Wow. You got skills ive NEVER SEEN BEFORE.

i dont care if you dont believe me or not. I can't show you, i dont have pics or anything I'm serious, big huge colas, lots of them. I'm admitting i was using bottled nutrients but not at even close to the strength of the manufacturer's recommended. canopy management my friends... im telling you. you ever hear of that place called the sweet spot in your canopy, where the light is right and you get all those colas in that spot... and magic can happen.

but i'll tell you what, I have 4 of those plants ready to go into flower soon, and i'll put all 4 of them under the one light just for you. I'll be using vegamatrix as nutrients because, like i said earlier, i'm in the process of letting my amended organic no till soil cook... so i'm using some of the highest quality shit you can get in a bottle. soil mix is the exact same as my organic mix except i didn't add the macro amendments. so the base mix equal parts peat, EWC/ancient forest blend, and pumice. added rock dusts, gypsum, and oyster flour. I will not be phing the vegamatrix products. i feel the soil will be able to take care of it.

Edit: i promise you will see 24+ oz.
 
The most ive ever got from multiple old school 600 watters was 22.35 ounces AVERAGE. 5 lbs every 4 of them give or take. On drain tables with drip manifold in one gallon growbags packed with coir/perlite. Sealed room with sante fe dehuey and mitsu split. Bottled Co2 at 1100 ppm peak flowering. Everthing dialed. Canopy managed as best of my ability on a double net trellis. All sour og mono cropped. Did it again with chem4 and again with casey jones. I just dont believe you son. Iam sorry. You sound typical. Again sorry. I just aint buying what your selling us here on rollitup
 
Yes of course, this is well known fact in agriculture. In case of cannabis 8-10% roughly is feasible. Solely from vegging and maturing faster. Not including the indirect benifits (less pests for example, improved nutrient uptake and overall vigor). It can increase the yield per year. If it increases the yield per run from a given space you were doing something wrong on soil. Which is easy to do and hard to fix unlike on hydro where flushing actually makes sense. Growing on soil indoors is kind of silly. Soil is great to grow bacteria and funghi and pests, while for growing plants like cannabis and many others there are much better grow mediums, like coco, mapito, rockwool, or the most efficient environmental friendly: directly in a nutrient solution in a closed hydroponic nft system.
 
example, here are two brainwreck plants at harvest day. each one of these plants yielded just over 7 oz. now mind you there are not 4 of them, because there were 2 other plants on a different schedule sharing the light. however 4 of these plants fit under my 600 no problem. no co2, no gimmicks (other than the age old organics lol). just a 600 watter.IMG_1866.JPG
there were multiples of these colas on these plants

Edit: that's a half gallon mason jar, and i flushed those for about 3 weeks prior to harvest. 81 days flowering time

and those plants aren't even that large!!! you dont see all of the tops because i had untied them already and they were leaning to the floor. but i could have easily had 4-6 more in. of growth before i ran out of room.... but with only a 600... penetration of the light was probably about perfect!

so do the math. 7x2 = 14 + the 2 more that i usually have under with them (14 more) = 28. right?

and dont say oooo but there wern't 2 more plants. true, there weren't from that harvest but those plants shared that light the whole time with 2 other plants from different harvests.

If we are good and we are lucky and the levee holds we are lucky to get 1 gm/watt indoors. I have seen a few guys get 1.3 on some plants in winter with no heating issues running hydro but I have never gotten that lucky or good.

Nice buds but that is a quart jar and it takes 4 of them to make a gallon.

already told you i'm gonna dedicate the next 4 to you. i'll let you know how they are doing. and besides i already showed you the proof of 28 oz on a 600. yes i know 2 were missing, but i assure you my FIRST RUN EVER with vegamatrix i will hit 24 oz with ease.
 
You havent shown me shit son. And your not going to either. Ive grown thousands of plants that look like your photo and then some. Your not hitting 2 lbs of proper buds off a traditional 600 watt. I dont care what u try and show me to convince otherwise. Dedicate your next grow to yourself certainly not my goofy ass. I been doing this a very long time my young padawan Your new to this. Its obvious as hell. Your not actually hitting the numbers your claiming on here. You might even of convinced yourself but no son your not. Alot of people grow plants similar to the 2 you posted. And they look nice. Very nice. Good job.
