I haven't had any ph swing with it. It also dries out before it gets any more water so the fungus is non existent at this point.

Those folks are decivers... real soil doesnt contain so much non-decomposed material..
they didnt do their job well..
you haven sees any PH swings yet you just started to grow in these medium...
but there is time soon when you could encounter problems i mention..
Look mine personal mix,am made everything from parts that i collect..
its 70% black soil and 30% of wormcastings.. no aerators,no peat
and it holds water very good cause its rich in humus..
There is no chunks of non-decoposed wood as i encounter before they are vectors for getting
fungus gnats and then later some funghus disease that will stunt your plant and yield..

What the he'll are you growing... You can't judge.. Your transplants are sitting,on top of your new medium. And looks like as soon as you water yours.. It turns to mud. And I hope those arent pot plants because that shits mangled man..

That soil may do OK IDK but something like fox farm ocean forest while not loved by everyone can grow some decent plants often enough that I always feel it is a good choice for new growers.
Grown in ffof in a 3 gallon plastic pot and if I recall was given water only until about the time of the picture.

Glad to be here! Right now this is all I have. No one around me sells it. All we have is walmart and their selection here is awful.

Did you plant them in bark?
When you transplant, get some better soil. I like natures care from home depot mixed with a whole bag of perlite. Cost you about 16 bucks.
In solo cups... I can usually go about 2 weeks before transplant... And you should check the weight after a full water to run off.... Don't water until they feel really light. I learned over watering when they're seedlings really slows them down. When I can see roots coming out the bottom holes... I transplant to one gallon containers.
They look like they want to be big girls and have huge pringle can buds. Love them.

Not a choice for many that want to remain anonymous but you can order ffof from Walmart and have it shipped to your home or shipped to store to be picked up.
I don't sweat it and buy a lot online and have it shipped to me almost always for free shipping.
Some need to be more careful though.

Im using 4cfls 100 watts with 1800 lumens each 5000 k and one with 75 watts and 3000 k and my buds are growing big and bolky im in week 4 with 2 days into flower all dou i do take it oustide for an hour or 2 for the real deal sun but i dont do often due to the fact it can stress my plants due to movement and temperature grow room is a lil cooler then outside , still one more month of summer

That is rather behind for 2-3 weeks old brother. Sounds like you're giving it too much love ie. water as well. Chill, let it grow dont be messin with it and over watering it, common mistake for new growers. good luck sir.

sort of a loaded question there, the answer is when they need water. Those plants should be in solo cups, anything bigger than that is too big imho. I don't plant seeds in huge pots, so they receive water when they go through the water in their pot, may it be 1 day, 3 days or 7 days. Keep this in mind, the bigger the pot and the smaller the plant, the less frequent you need to water, and is what usually leads to people over watering. They think the pot is dry because they stuck their finger in the medium and it feels dry, but the entire bottom is soaked still. Sizing the proper pot for the size of the plant is key, especially with new growers. Most veterans know if they plant a seed in a 3 gallon pot, they know they do not need to water for a long time if they soaked the pot initially. Some even germinate in a 3 gallon pot and only water around the and very little water at that until the plant is a few weeks old and has a good root structure. Pot size is huge though, I start in solo cups, when I see a plant is using all the water in the solo cup and or pot in a 24hrs span, its time to transplant and up pot (who wants to water everyday, and I use coco). In flower you may have to water every single day in a large pot until it gets late in flower. Late in flower, the watering calms down as the water uptake gets less and less until chop.
