Does PH have to be exact?

I apologise that i have no way of providing pictures but here's my problem

I have had canna coco a + b for two day's now one of my plant's a candy KUSH started yellowing in the leaves (nutrient dificiency) and someone pointed out to me that soil is a hydroponic medium and not a soil so it has no natural nutrients in it i got the a + b and i first fed it to my plant's last night and about an hour ago...

Now i read up that if the ph is not exact 5.8 for coco then it will deprive my plant's of SOME nutrients but there's a guide in the forums stating that you're ph has to be exact or you're plant's will not get any nutrients does anyone know any different? i only have a ph tester kit so i can't currently get my ph to exactly 5.8

always check your nutes for info but 5.5-6 would be good...

View attachment 2020198 i varied mine from 5.5 to 6.2 at the highest and didn't have any probs heres a chart i came across a while back and i'm in soil at mo but i grew in coco with the numbers mentioned above and all went well i did for the most part keep it between 5.5 and 6.0

Literally just bumped into this chart such good help also the other picture managed to identify my candy kush as having a nitrogen deficiency which tbh is going to be the easiest to cure...

i grow in canna coco at 6.0(have gone to 6.2 with a mag diff) ph in veg to increase the availability of mag and go down 0.5 at a time to 5.8 in flowering. them ranges are sound. coco is very forgiving with ph. due to its buffers and it easy to bring back as long as no plain water as been run through. never test run off waste of time.

i grow in coco. I always go for a 5.8. However, I would imagine that anywhere from 5.5-6.2 would work out. 5.8 is optimal though.

Yes i know now 5.8 makes all nutrients available to the plant but it is acceptable to be a little bit off chart just not completely off scale

yeah a little either way is fine but always check the nute bottle cause they sometimes specify a certain ph ....
