my first mix was organic generic potting soil, couple of handfuls of ewc, coco, and perlite....60-20-20 .. i used liquid nutes at a low dose and was pleasantly surprised. still learning.

my current blend in a 5gal fabric pot is FFOF, couple of handfuls ewc since theyre just lying around here, some Myco, and tbsp or 2 of biochar and watering with compost tea 1-2x a week and plain 1-2x a week. ..... hope its enough! hate to wait 4 months for nothing

appreciate the advice
So if you’re already doing the organic soil with ewc, add in some compost and lose the bottled nutes! This is my plant just before flower. One plant. And then my plant where I am currently. Trust me when I say, you don’t need the bottled nutrients in organic to achieve amazing results!

I am just beginning to use compost teas.... about a cup of EWC, tsp of bio-char, a smidge of RAW Cal/Mag, a cup of fungus laden forest floor and a couple of days of bubbles.... some of these compost teas ive seen are really extensive.... mine is simple I guess....not sure how well it works but we shall see. The soil on my property is incredibly fertile I figure would be wise to figure out a way to tap into it.

any tips on compost teas?
Compost teas should be simple! I always start mine with a gallon or 2 of RO water. I get a paint strainer bag or a reusable tea bag and add a cup of worm poop, a cup of cow poop, fish and kelp fertilizer and some molasses. The poop and fertilizer will create bacteria, the molasses will feed the bacteria and help them multiply. Bubble for 24 hours and you’re ready to use! There is no need to make them super crazy. But in order to make it right, you should use a simple sugar like molasses to feed your microbes. You can add a cup of soil as well, no harm in that. Remember you’re not adding any organic matter with a tea, you’re simply adding microbiology to your soil. I would say once a month or every 2 months add a cup or 2 of compost and worm castings. That’ll be more than enough!

Do some research on cationic exchange. If you’re growing organically, then the microbes are what is breaking down the organic matter into mineral form. These minerals are attracted to colloids in your soil that feed your plant! Sure, you can ph your water. It is not needed and the chemicals can harm the microbes in your soil. Sounds like OP is going organic. Compost tea SHOULD NOT BE PHd. You’re creating a bacteria farm essentially. That compost tea isn’t a feeding, but it’s a way to add beneficial microbes to your soil so they can break down organic matter and feed your plant.
does this apply to both Well Water and RO ? No initial pH before adding the tea to brew?? Or like you said doesn’t matter, just add “tea” , brew and give to plant
