does the water you use matter?

I was wondering what type of water to use. Could you use it straight from the sink or should i go to the store and get spring water?

Does it matter? Yes.

Is the water that comes from your tap "good enough"? Impossible to say without more information, but possibly, yes. That depends entirely on the quality of the water in your area.

Note that I don't think rainwater is necessarily "the best", though it does have the advantages of being free, and *usually* free of major contaminants, though again, that's going to depend on where you collect it and how.

My water is terrible where I am, ph over 8 and extremely hard.

I run all my water through a Brita purifier, comes out With a ph of just under 6 and drops ppm's to a minimal amount. It's a pain in the ass but it works..

what if i put through a brita water filter pitcher?
