Personally I would have to agree with Shady on this one, that you wont know for sure until pre flowers show. If they are all the same strain, it could be that he has a couple different phenotypes as well. Hard to tell from the photos, but based on what I can see of the leaf structure it appears one leans more sativa dominate, with longer skinnier leaves(this being the tall one) and the other seems to have much wider leaves which leads me to believe it leans more to an indica dom.

I'm definitely no expert, as I am new to growing as well. I'm not as familiar with Autos either, but if it is an auto I'm assuming it was purchased, thus lowering the chance of it being male. Never seen male autos before, wouldn't that kind of defeat the purpose of having an auto?

If it were a photoperiod bean and it were my I'd bend it and tie it down, this would result in the side branches growing straight up towards the light and could help bush it out a little. However, not sure this would be recommended for an auto or not. If they are autos though I'd run them on an 18/6 or 20/4 light cycle as there is no reason to flip lights for autos.

Herms are technically possibly with any seed, but seems to be less likely with Regular seeds vs feminized. However, most times that plant herm tthere seems to be other factors that have caused stress to the plant during it flowering cycle, which can result in the plant going hermit. Some of the research I have read actually discuss how in general, marijuana's biological make up makes it lean bisexual as well. Also if they do hermie you can separate them out from the females to prevent any additional pollination of the girls, but from my readings the seeds off the hermie will be feminized. I have read this in many place, but don't take my word on this as any type of gospel!

The way I look at growing in general is that YOU don't KNOW until your try it. Even if others swear by it or preach it constantly doesn't mean the its 100% factual. This is why I have basically deemed my first couple grows as straight experimenting. Might cost a little more up front as I probably won't get the best yields possible, but by trying different things I can find what works for ME. Every grower has there own system that works for them. Some swear it has to be hydro, others swear by a specific nutrient line, but most people adjust there systems until the see the results they want. Even then I feel that there is always room for improvement and to learn new things!
