Does this look okay? (ventilation setup)

Parameters:
Homebox L
400w HPS
340 CFM whisperline fan
6x18 foothill filters active carbon scrubber.

I'm wondering how this setup (air sucked into fan through the filter and then pushed through the light and out the exhaust) compares to something like the air being sucked out from one side of the light and through the fan and then pushed out through the filter (with fan/filter being on the outside).

I've heard it's more efficient to suck out the air than it is to push out the air... But I also heard that carbon filters work better then they aren't pressurized (IE: when air is sucked through them instead of pushed out through them). Just trying to figure out what's recommended and why.

Thanks... Is it hard to get a good seal all the way from the filter to the fan? In my space I can't run anything serially with the light (would need to have tubing on both sides- filter->tubing->light->tubing->fan->tubing->out), but I can run the fan/filter serially. Is there another way to seal the tubing, other than just a clamp?

i use the insulated foil tubing. it has an inner sealed flex tube covered by insulation and foil wrap. tape around seal of light glass as well. depending on size of filter cfm you'll want your fan a little stronger for the extra length of tubing, ect.

edit: how will you cool your light without porting with fan?

Not sure what you mean. The air still goes outside. It would get sucked in through the filter -> through the fan -> pushed out and tubed to one side of the light and then tubed to the outside.

I still would have tubing leaving the area, but the seal is a bit less critical because there isn't a vacuum created (no restrictions after the fan, other than one tubing direction change).

cool i thought maybe you didn't have room to tube it together. should work out great.

I go filter fan light outside with duct in between Lots of duct tape. just allot for the bends in the duct work cfm wise. smokem if ya got em.

I did notice a change in temp when i went filter light fan outside seemed to drop it 3-4 degrees but the air was too much to circulate into the clone box

cool bro, hope all works out well. i'll be cutting my babies here in about two weeks. it's hard to be patient at this particular time. they are sooooo frosty. wish i could post pics!
