I'm all about quality lately. I don't have time for relationships that I don't benefit from.

Relationships of any kind should be mutually beneficial, if not then one party can't relate, and things don't work.

I'm at a point in my life where I can identify if it will work very quickly, and I'm not putting energy into a lost cause.

Seems depressing but its been going very well for me!

My TRUE friends have remained the same for better than 47 years.....now there have been people that have come and gone during those 47 plus years but they were just acquaintances not true friends.....IMO true friends and family are almost the same

tokin on the roof on a lonely deck chair. used to have two deck chairs and a mattress up here, and had 'friends' round a lot, dozen of us passin the spliff under the stars.

i keep to myself in real life now, only ppl who see me more than once a year are my family, psychiatrist, bar tenders, people i work for/work for me, and the neighbours, plus the current squeeze.

I have 2 friends. That's it. My phones contact list is embarrassing. 13 people. Including family. I do not let new people into my life. At all. Been fucked by why too many people. Which has turned me into an anti social asshole.

You kids all have a very different friendship acquiring style than I do.

I have my besties, the one I have been friends with the Longest I was in day care with - so 31 years we have been buds.

But I made a new buddy yesterday, new neighbour.

I like meeting new people.

I also don't grow. So I don't require anyone to keep my secrets or anything.

I do appreciate a good secret-keeper though.
