does your grow tent need outside air

Its winter time so I have to keep all my windows closed or it gets too cold (not to mention i get sick when I sleep because my grow is in my room). I have good ventilation in my grow tent with intake/oscillating fans/exhaust but no oustide fresh air. Is this ok?

Thats how mine is and I do not see any complications because of it. You have some air exchange and circulation between your house and the outside your house is not airtight. Human pathogens will not harm the plants. There are different kinds of microorganisms and viruses that affect each type of life. Your weed plant along with every other plant is incapable of catching your cold or flu just like how you do not start having mold on your arm if a plant has bud-rot. So nothing to worry about there.

I can only think of a few situations (excluding temp control) where you would need to bring in outside air. None of those situations are found with sanitary/ decent living conditions. Basically if you can survive off the air in your home so can your plants.

I really hope the OP didn't actually think his plants would get the flu...
What? No I meant the temperatures are much colder than ideal for my strain (60-65) with the window open and I said these temperatues at night along with the cold draft give ME a cold because I'm in the same room as my plants. And to technical dan aka captain obvious, any idiot knows that plant pathogens for the most part dont effect humans and vice versa. :) But thanks for answer. Any other opinions?

You are busy bro. you must really be worried about this. I seen your thread in the General MJ area as well. Keep the windows closed, your babies and your immune system will thank you. Buy a digital heater to throw in there to control the temps.
