Does your PH jump hard in DWC buckets?

Im very interested in how other DWC growers experience the PH jumping.
How hard does your pH jump?
How often do u regulate it?
What are the methods for regulation that ppl use?
What influences the instability, how, and why?

In my own experience I have noticed that my PH constantly goes up and I have to use the pH- solution about 3-5 times a day. Hell of a job I say since I dont have an automatic ph meter anymore and have to use the chemical ones. The good electronic meters are pretty pricy and the cheap ones just suck.
I figured that the jumping of PH has alot to do with temps and the nutrients that I use.

Any feedback on the matter?

Temps and nutes will make your ph move up or down. Mines used to do the same so what I did is I would always clean the container everytime I changed the water and the lid where the net pot is sitting on as well. I use 90% alcohol and oxygen peroxide with hot water and I would scrub everything inside and then I would get a clean rag and with alcohol and peroxide and wipe the inside of lid. And I also would clean the lines and air stone too. And as far as my temps go I bought windshield shade and wrapped the container with it and everything else is much better now. I check my ph every other day with not much difference from where I left it.

How hard is the water that you are using? This will also make your PH "rebound", I had actualy learned about it from doing aquariums, maybe you can check with a petstore and ask them what they recomend.

I harvested my 18gal. DWC never checked PH once. I USED distilled water with a little PH down

my ph is pretty stable most of the time, except late in flower then it might move around a bit. i do have a 25 gal reservoir though, and keep my temps @65F.

the electrode is serviceable so you do not have to buy an electrode if it goes dry, you just refill it when it need to... it does push button cal, and will tell you when it needs to be calibrated, and also when it needs to be serviced. it has a flat electrode tip instead of a recessed bulb. best ph meter ive ever seen hands down. its $100

I use Cornucopia Plus - Plant energy. Its a great addition to your regular nutes and it keeps the PH really stable. I use a little PH- every couple of days but it pretty stable.
I use a 10 gallon totes for my plants.

I use tap water of around 200pm and use canna nutes as suggested on the bottle and some ph down. The ph stays as set up until when i change the res with maybe a 0.3-0.5 increase in ph.

I've found that using larger volumes of water helps keep the ph stable. My 5gal buckets were all over the place, but my 10gal totes stay a hell of a lot more stable.
