Well Bartledoo Folks! I'm gonna twist up good spliff for this story, want some?
Just thought I'd share with yall a stealth grow I did a few years back. I found these old pics the other day when I was sorting my pics folders so maybe this thread could be an inspiration in some small way for one of yous guys!
Let me set the stage here for a minute. This was back when I was living with my parents which was where the 'stealth' need came in. After spending some time browsing through the forums here on RUI (well a lot of time actually) I decided to give it a go! I did end up getting 'busted' as it were, but this is my limited picture account of how it went
So I found some wood that was bound to end up in the fire pit by weeks end.
And I got to work with the saw and the hammer and stuff.
And made this box. 1'x1'x3' I know im pretty crafty eh
I took 2 old PC fans from a couple junk xbox's and powered them with an old cell phone charger (this was actually something I found here on RIU it works and its safe and its awesome) One fan for air intake(bottom) the other for exhaust(top)
Next i went to the hardware store and got two packs of 2700k CFL lights and 4 light receptacles (this was the biggest investment of the whole deal, 28 bucks total if memory serves?)
Smoke Break!
Now I had been saving seeds for about a year or so.

As you can see i had plenty so i was gonna grow a bunch and let only the strongest survive.
about 90% germinated which was better that i had expected >.< Anyway i planted the seeds and about 9 or so popped up.
Here you can see the light setup, notice how the bulbs are orientated in relation to the plants, this is because most light from these suckers comes from the side not the top.
As you can see 3' was total overkill, 2' would be just fine for this type of grow.
Smoke anyone?
Okay then i didn't take pics for a while and this is where were at. of the 9 i rooted out the weak ones and there was only 1 male actually, but there's two in this pot and one in another that we'll see a bit later.
Oh i forgot to tell yall that this was a 12/12 fro seed grow. Mr. Rocket has a good thread about just this thing

well were getting close to the end here just a bunch of bud shots now
Then a little tiny crack of light escaping from my box did me in. I got caught and was forced to bring down the axe
Here's the total bud harvest, enough to pack a corn cob pipe, and for the record no I did not get high off it >.< and is it just me or do the buds always look bigger when there growing on the plant??
