Hello dear friends,

Quick question::neutral:

Does dolomite limestone lower or raise Ph level ? Or it does both as kind of balance mechanism ? :?
And is there any guide to amount of dolomite need to be used to raise Ph level from 6 to 6.5 ?

Thank you for advise. :-o

lime is a base so it will raise the ph. Sorry I don't know how to explain how it works. It does help balance the ph.

So dolomite is used to raise Ph only :o. Is vinegar safe to use on regular basis if needed to lower Ph or there is a substitute to it like dolomite to baking soda ?
Don't know where to buy dolomite :( local gardening center offered solution but there are nutes in it and I don't want to over nute my girls :???:

You can get PH-UP or PH-Down in hydro shops, or anywhere that sells aquarium products.
It's cheap.
Dolomite Lime is best mixed in with the soil at 1/2 a cup per cubed foot (approx 28 litres) It will stabilise the PH at around nuetral. :weed:

Taking your advise my friends went to aquarium shop and got tester and adjustment kit for water. ;-)
With it I should be able to adjust Ph level between 6-7.6 Ph
Could you tell me how dangerous are repercussions of Ph shock to the plant ? How quick will they recover ?

Thank you again. :peace:

P.S

Will update this thread until problem is resolved.

Very dangerous, when the PH is out of whack the nutrients get locked out and the plant will starve.
It's probably best to flush your pots with PH adjusted water (6.5 to 7.0)
3 times the pot size is reccomended.
That should get you back on track, and then test your water EVERY time.
They should recover very quickly then, but damaged leaves will not come back, only new growth.
Good Luck.:weed:
