The Chevy Monza was originally designed to use a rotary engine which would be produced by GM under license from Mazda, but GM didn't want to be seen as "legitimizing" the rotary engine which was struggling for acceptance at the time

i had a 1972 red ford pinto the guy was selling it because he didn't want his daughter to die in a rear ender $400 did i overpay?

but not to be outdone by my first '66 chevy biscayne for $200..that thing was made the old way it had some weight to it at least for me.

i'd love to find a gen 1 rx-7 and put a race built rotary in her.
