hello, anyone use fish tank waste to feed their plants. once i started really made things very simple and the plants seem to really love it.
soil mix
1/2 kellog raised bed this has some nutes in it
1/4 coco
1/4 perlite
nutes mixed in- amount for 5 gal grow bag
50 ml Espoma citrus tone
50ml Espoma bone meal
400 ml worm castings Espoma
30 ml blood meal Espoma
30 ml kelp meal Espoma
i keep a bit of soil without any nutes in the center of bag to germinate in. i have 2 fishtanks well stocked and planted with hang on the back filters put a sponge over the intake and cut up some more pond filter sponges to fit in the filter. water as needed from the fish tank ph 6.5 -5.5 and every 2-3 weeks i will rise the filter sponges in the gallon or so of water i use for each plant. been doing this for my last 3 grows have had 0 problems images are of my last grow northern lights from ilgm photoIMG_0277 - Copy.JPGwk1c - Copy.JPGwk1e - Copy.JPGwk1f - Copy.JPG

I have a buddy that raises fish and it's a lot more expensive to do it right than what he spends on nutes for his plants. Lot more hassle too but he sells baby fish to support that hobby and makes a bit of extra cash as well.

Aquaponics is an old tried and true method tho for those that want to do it and is used commercially to raise lots of fish for consumption all over the world.

Hmmm . . . with all the nutes you are adding to your mix the fish juice is really just a supplement. Try a soilless mix and only water with the fish water and see how it goes.

:peace:
