How is 20% unbelievable? I shop online at practically an obscene level - I get bored at work and buy things - and I've seen between 15% and 25% everywhere. In places where there are laws limiting restocking fees, it's something like 50% maximum, and the amount has to be disclosed upfront, which it is on HG's return policy - they say 15% to 25% on all returned merch. And even with Amazon, who will eat the shipping costs on customer returns even when it's the customer's mistake, I still find it to be about 50/50 whether they'll give me the refund as soon as it's in the mail or wait until they receive it. Yeah, it sucks making a mistake that costs you money, but it was YOUR mistake, and what happened to you is pretty normal business practice. Now, I don't know much about HG and I've never shopped there - I have Amazon Prime and order pretty much everything from them, and I strongly recommend it. Get everything in two days and they pay for all your returns - I recently ordered a couple shirts, they didn't fit, so I returned them and got a size larger. Didn't cost me a thing. I ordered a computer power supply a while back that FedEx said they delivered but it never showed up, Amazon gave me my money back - anywhere else they would have said "tough, the tracking shows delivered." So I choose Amazon for its pro-customer attitude.
