I was 15 when I first got stoned too, though my story lends to a cautionary tale.
Plenty of “don’t do like I did” moments in my story…fortunately, no one got injured, nothing caught fire, no one got really arrested, and only years & fortunes were lost…but I can’t lay much (if any) of it on cannabis. I was disturbed before I ever even heard about getting high, and it’s saved my life.

I realize that mileage varies…different road, different driver. Cautionary tales are *important*; we’re an incautious species, and cats aren’t the ones most at risk.

Two daughters and two different attitudes towards pot. Both their mother and I have been very open about our drug use (me more drugs than mom lol) and both kids have never tried anything other than alcohol or pot that I’m aware. The youngest is the non-drug user of any kind and is disgusted when she catches me smoking it (nose of a blood hound lol). The oldest gets a few gummies when she comes to visit. Both raised the same and both with polar opposite views. They also know that I made a good living for them in the trade but never mention the fact. I did get a call from the youngest once telling me the house next door of where she was just got raided……my biggest buyer :o!

How old are your daughters, Budley?

I didn’t mean to sound like a narc, I just wanted to share some info I acquired regarding cannabis use in adolescents. Both of my sons are in their mid 30’s and they both smoke pot. They have since their teens and if I was more aware of the effects on adolescents minds, I would have been more vigilant with educating them about the negatives of cannabis.

My son in Toronto doesn’t buy it anymore as I usually give him a half pound when I see him. I like that he’s getting good quality bud that is free of pesticides or mould or any other issues.

Both in their 30’s as well. I was pretty diligent when talking to them about waiting until they were older, this only because of how it effected me in the motivational aspects when I was young. At 14 I started growing pretty large grows and it didn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out it could be very lucrative but sure didn’t help with the scholastic side other than it was basically my store at school :(. I’ve seen a few parents give their younger kids (15-18) pot and honestly it typically turns out bad but not every time.
