Double bucket draining system

Just double up your buckets and drill a dozen 1/4 inch holes in the bottom of the top bucket. Drill a hole as close as possible to the bottom on the side of the lower bucket to fit what ever sized pipe you have. I recommend around 1/4'' diametre, cut in 2 1/2'' lengths. Seal around your pipe with window and door or bathtub silicone. I use rubbermaid containers to catch the run off. I also have a syphon pump in case the trays are too full to pick up without spilling, I can just transfer water into another bucket without picking up the trays. It works for me!100_3267.JPG 100_3268.JPG 100_3271.JPG

I was thinking this but instead have them connect to a main pipe that goes out of the tent. Right now I have them just drain into the bottom bucket and empty it once a week.

I don't know how much you water but recommendations say 20%-30% run off. After just 1 watering(1.5 gal of nutrient solution in one 5 gal pot) I have 1/2 a gallon of run off. I could not water twice without flooding the bottom of the pots. You should water every 48 hours at least.

@Smootherpete I know its supposed to be 20-30 but I use 100% perlite so I would be going through a ton of water. I water every day but only give 16oz so theres very little run off. Every two weeks or so I flush it with a gallon to eliminate any salt buildup.

Interessting, did you try coco also? I'm curious to know what yields more.

B.T.W. , these plants will be ready around the 20th of February and I'll post more pics at that time. I'll let you know what it yields.

Pictures above were taken at week 4 and i'm letting them go 10 weeks this time. They are 3 clones mainlined to 8 colas. It's BC blueberry a strain they say usually flowers in around 8 weeks. Last time cut them at 9 but couldn't really see any amber trichs yet.

It is still excellent weed though.
