Double Ended 630w LEC Lamps. Anyone used these?

Hey everyone, I came across these 630w CMH Double ended bulbs in search of just that! As far as I know these are the only manufacturer of an LEC Double ended bulb.

So my question is, has anyone used these yet? How did you find them compared to the DE HPS bulbs in your DE Fixture?

Can you use them with your Dimmable Digital Ballast?

Are these the real deal!?

TIA guys, Looking forward to what you have to say about these, they look like the way to go if they perform as they should!

Being honest with you, I like them better than the regular hps (1000watt) brand new..
It's a few horse short of matching a 1000wattDE,but the spectrum is laps ahead of the DE..

I run my 630's on 1000watt galaxy ballast set to 600...I do want to try one run on a 600watt ballast set to super lumens setting.

All I'm running for the summer months..

I too am interested in upgrading my standard 600w HPS light fixture. I understand the Double Ended HPS, I think lol, but how does it differ from a double ended CMH? I am fairly new to anything other than old fashioned HID's and COB's, so please forgive my lack of information! :)

Great! Thanks for the review!
When you say it's a few horse short of the De Hps, what exactly do you mean there?

That was actually another question I forgot to ask, the use with a 600w digital ballast, and the boost setting.. Could it be the perfect combo?
What colour temperature did you go with?

One last question, how long have you been using this bulb, can you make a call on the longer term performance and reliability at this stage?

All that said I think I'll give one a go. These sound very promising!

Never mind the meaning of the few horse short. I am a bit tired today.. Lol, I missed that you were comparing to 1000w De there, that's very impressive. How much less power would you say it has compared, is 600w still how it seems to deliver performance wise?

If you do this please let me know, i got some extra galaxy grow amp with turbo charge feature and would like to use DE bulbs if possible but i would need to invest in a different reflector. @genuity

I've noticed that the 630w DE does not have a cool tube, or does not appear too. Does it produce so little heat that this is not necessary?...

@genuity How close can you get the 630W DE to the canopy? In other words, does this still require 10' ceilings like 1000W DE HPS? I'm considering the grower's choice fixtures, which have their own low freq square wave ballast. My lights hang at 8' though and I'd like to keep using the drip table, so I don't have 3-4' of clearance.

I'm still learning myself with these lights...I would start at the same 8' & work them to you see what you like.

I'm going to be purchasing lights for my setup soon, so I'm hoping these DE630 CMH can be used with 8' ceilings, Im doing my best to research. Thank you for everyone's input btw, Ive been a fan of these forums since about 2008 but just recently joined.
I have three 4x8 trays and was originally going with six 1000w hps, but after reading so many great things about CMH lighting I really want to give them a go.

As manufacturer I suggest you don't use 630wDE.
1. The 2 burner inside are not exactly same, after using a period of time, one will be more bright and another one will be darker, the spectrum will be no more as well as before.
2. one burner finish the whole DE will finish, why not use 2 X 315w ?
3. The ballast work for 1000w DE HPS is high frequency type, HF ballast will cause CMH crack easily, usually after 500 hours will be finish. Only low frequency ballast can work with CMH safty.
