When do you start feeding with dr earth when using organic soil? Im using black gold full organic soil. Which dr earth should i use? What week to start using it and how much? Newbie here btw!
Growing organic shouldn’t have to ph your water I haven’t phd water in years and haven’t worried about soil ph in a long time if you pay close attention to what your inoculating you’re soil with you’ll have a healthy balanced soil for your plants keeping a time schedule for top dressings and no more ph worries.Amend at 2TBSP per gallon of medium.
Make your first amendment once your plant is ready for a 1 gallon container or bigger. Don’t dry amend seedlings or newly rooted clones. Instead get a soil made for clones and seedlings like Soil King’s Baby Rootz which have a delicate and balanced amount of nutes that will carry a seedling or newly rooted clone for 3-4 weeks.
Use 4-4-4 all the way until week 3 of flower. Then use Flower Girl 3-9-4 Week 3-Harvest.
Aside from the dry amendments you want to look into your secondary nutes. Cal, Mag, Etc.
Making sure your waterings are PH’d between 6-7.0 every watering is important.
Also consider a microbe product like recharge it also has humic/fulvic acids to help break down the dry amendments and promote root/plant health.
I also like to amend with worm castings when I dry amend for soil health
Making the switch from floraflex back to living soil. I literally use Jobs organic all purpose 4/4/4 for veg and terp teas bloom and b booster for veg.Growing organic shouldn’t have to ph your water I haven’t phd water in years and haven’t worried about soil ph in a long time if you pay close attention to what your inoculating you’re soil with you’ll have a healthy balanced soil for your plants keeping a time schedule for top dressings and no more ph worries.
You should at least look at your municipal water report though there are places where your taps coming out really acidic or really alkaline and your gonna need to adjust. But more often than not your taps fine.Growing organic shouldn’t have to ph your water I haven’t phd water in years and haven’t worried about soil ph in a long time if you pay close attention to what your inoculating you’re soil with you’ll have a healthy balanced soil for your plants keeping a time schedule for top dressings and no more ph worries.
Totally unnecessary.I PH check every time for good measure. Most of the time it’s in range bud Sometimes the ph level after adding my non NPK products drops it too low for my liking so I like to monitor. Only takes me seconds to check it.
To each there own. I’ve had PH issues in the past when I first started growing by not checking and adjusting where needed and will always check every watering regardless of why you think it’s unnecessary. I grow top shelf not mids.Totally unnecessary.
I water from my hose ph 8.0, I use organic soil, and Dr earth.
Zero issues ever.

I wouldn't add nutes here yet. No offense meant here However these are very stunted. There will be a decent amount of nutes left in that soil still. They are 4 weeks and 3 days old, 3 gallon fabric pots using black gold all organic soil. Little stunted due to over watering first 2 weeks. Lol first time growing got a little carried away. One is in flower for sure. The others are just now starting flower.
I had a nitrogen issue and calcium def but fixed them now they are thriving and growing fast finally.
Also just watered so they are a little heavy leaved.
