Dr Earth soil n fertz

yo i just picked up some Dr. Earth Pot of Gold soil, cheaper than the Medicine POTting soil, !4 dol a bag. it has all the usual plus all mycos and microbes. and aloe vera extract too......

Any one ever use it? What do you think? I like the idea of not having to get great white because it's already in there. that saves some money. I guess their fertz have it too and you can make teas out of all their fertz. They are 7 dol a box too. Thats way cheap. i didnt have to travel to far to hydro shop. I just went to the nursery down the street. they only have it in nurseries and/or independent stores, no chains stores.

I let you all know in a few weeks what I think. i might try the medicine one next it was 18 dol a bag. they didn't have enough in stock this time.

I am using it as well. And I can tell you now you need to add some pearlite, theres none in it and it hold a little too much moisture. It might be the bag i got was wet but if you stick your hand in it and its kinda moist then they must all be alike and you need something to help it drain or at least let it really dry out before the next watering. Other than that it seems like good stuff.

mine has perlite in it. mine was actually dry, it was sitting outside at the nursery for who knows how long. its been pretty dang hot. Ive only gone through 1 bag so far so we'll see. thanks for the info

Ok just from going through 5 weeks of veg with this soil. I have to say that it's horrible. Miracle grow is better. I'm going back to fox farm. It lacks so much nutes. I have 4 in veg that each have, nitrogen, iron, magnesium and calcium deficiencies. I had 7 that were not doing good but brought 3 back to greener pastures sort of speak.

i tried the medicine one too, it sucks. it has a lot of guano and that's all that it has going for it. It dries too fast and mag and cal deficiencies too. I never had those problems with FFOF. even after adding nutes deficiencies did not go away on 3 of em.

I agree with you about the idea of not having to get great white because it's already in there.
