Dr. greenthumb seed review!

Out of that run I liked the Bubba OG and OG Kush the best. I lost my bubba og cuts so I need to dig out the rest of those beans. OG Kush #2 is our keeper. I have one that I vegged out pretty nice and it's in flower now.
I really liked the ECSD but it didn't blow my wig back. The second run was even better.
My cheese went to shit, but I took some cuts off the best looking one and they are looking fantastic. Lots of Packer fans up here and those fuckers need cheese! lol.

And its been dam good for me.
I tested for him twice an bought from him more.
Chemo Iranian , c99 , ghost Og and good dog were all top shelf.

Ah, that G13 that Greenthumb sells yields 3-4 pounds dry weight when done right. It's the original G13 that Nevelle got from Doc's friend Dogless (Jim Ortega) back in the 80s and lost. We grow it with vertical lighting in a checkerboard pattern with lights spaced at 42 inches apart with the plants in between and use DWC. They TOTALLY fill all the space with tops the size of rugby balls and "small" bottom buds are the size of baseballs and its not just big its uber potent too. Get a grip! $200 bucks?! Best money I ever spent

I've always been ashamed to say this but I ordered over a $1000 of Bubba Katsu and OG Ghost from him, and ended up killing them while I was going through city building inspections. One of the biggest disappointments in my 5 years of growing.

Thanks Dr G. I've decided on the Bubba x OG for sure. Now I just saw you're thread on the Headband, I'm torn between that and the Chem4 as my 2nd choice. If one yields significantly more than the other I'd go with the yielder no doubt. basically one super heady and one heavy yielder is what I'm lookin for.

The Chem yields well, is very potent, and is in my personal top 3 all time strains. HB is pretty close in yield and also very potent. I just ran the HB and don't have a good handle on it yet but its superb smoke with a lot of flavor.

My last bubba OG plant for this season. Will be buying more for sure.
Chemdawg last year like dr.gruber said, was a great yielder,
And very potent. But bubba OG is still my fave.

Thanks Doc and Bleuballz, BubbaOg and Chem4 it is. I've grown an OG x Bubba from a different breeder and it was my all time fave.

smoked what was supposed to be some OG with a mate from Dublin the other night, who got what he thought was OG gear from Doc because of my recommendation but when I smoked it I knew right away it wasn't OG, it wasn't very potent and didn't taste like it either. Looked at a bud and later saw some email photos he'd taken. Definintly not OG and I'm not even sure there's even OG in it at all. Turns out he got it from the "other" Dr Greenthumb in Colorado who is associated with Humbolt Seeds Organization, so be careful

I actually met with Dr. Greenthumb in person, very cool guy. Very knowledgeable in what he does and knows his strains.

We purchased and popped his C99 and G13.

He's based in Cali and he's the "Other Dr.Greenthumb" . I've grown the EmDog and it's decent smoke and shows some OG characteristics.

You can see grows of the EmDog on there, don't know what your buddy bought, sounds like he got swindled. If the pack wasn't impossible to open it wasn't from HSO I had to break the wood casing their packs come in.

Is the EmDog as good as the clone only OG Kush? No. But it's worth growing again as it's got a nice flavour and buzz.

has anybody grown out the expensive g13 seeds? how were the results if you did?

It's confusing...
The real Dr. Greenthumb, from Canada, has been around for about 20 years, owns the dot com and is well known for stellar genetics that ARE what they are supposed to be. you buy an Sour Diesel from them it IS Sour Diesel and not something else.

The "other" "fake" Dr. Greenthumb is not from Cali, he is from Colorado and has traded on the real Dr. Greenthumb's (from Canada) name for some time.

The "other" Dr. Greenthumb is now behind Humbolt Seeds Organization who used to trade out of England, not Colorado or Cali and yes, you get seeds from HSO but in the case of Bubba, OG and Chemdawg, not real deal Bubba, OG or Chemdawg; at best they're crosses IMO.
I travel a lot to LA on business and had smoked Bubba and OG there in about 2001 but could not take a clone home. When Dr. Greenthumb (Canada) came out with the seeds in about 2002 I jumped on it and when harvested, they were happily the same as the original I smoked in LA and that's also true of Bubba kush and Chemdawg. In the past few years I have also smoked examples of "OG" and "Bubba" from Humbolt Seeds Organization and they are definiitley not Bubba or OG or Chemdawg #4, though they probably contain Bubba, OG and Chemdawg genes.
