What he finds "unacceptable" is when gay people identify themselves as a group. He hates the idea of collectivism, whether it be gays,straights,whites,blacks,rich people,poor people. Thats not what ron paul is about. I think you are looking at this 30 year old hr 7955, 96th congress thing a little hard. If thats the best shot you can take on ron paul, then hes got a good chance at winning

ron paul is the one who identified them as a group not worthy of receiving federal funding if they insist on calling their homosexuality acceptable.
otherwise he would have wrote it to prohibit federal funds for trying to define what an acceptable lifestyle is without singling out the gays as a group.

where does he mention if they insist on calling homosexuals a group? my eyesight is for shit, but i don't see "group" as any part of the equation in receiving federal funds.
all he mentions is if the entity receiving federal funds presents homosexuality as an acceptable lifestyle.

yeah and notice that at no time in that statement does he specify homosexuals as a group, only homosexuality as a lifestyle, emphasizing the fact that homosexuality is a not a factor differing any person for special treatment, including federal funding for the promotion of that lifestyle.

Ron Paul opposes pretty much all federal programs, I don't think its logical to say they since he opposed a gay bill, he is homophobic. How bout if he just doesn't want another spending bill with out 14 tril deficit, etc...
