So grew some buds, turned out dank they smell good too but when i vape i always get a bad "boot" like taste. Guessing this is the chlorophyll. I think i dried in 5 days which im guessing was too fast. Theyve been in Jars for a month and a half now, i was hoping i could cure them better but im still not tasting the Dank medical quality im used to :/.

Question is what should i do with the bud i have. Its not horrible just meh tasting for the first few pulls.
Should i....
A. Suck it up not near as bad as ive had before
B. Cure longer
C. Water Cure
D. Edibles/BHO

Thoughts? If i knew it would get better i would cure longer but i dont really want to wait 3 months for it to still taste meh.

if the buds have been drying for a month and a half i would at least rule out curing longer. may help but not much. just my 2 cents.

Lol hows he supposed to learn from his mistakes and do better next time if hes asking whats wrong? Ok im not super expert and shit but i had some shit happen like that once. Had my bud n a jar that smelled like peas (cuz thata what was n it) so washed it out and stuck my weed n there. Few days later my bud smelled funky and tasted weird. I washed the jar a few times n the dishwasher to knock out the smell and it worked. So ur bud might b picking up some residual stinkage from ur container. Other than that there really isnt much that i know of that could help except putting and orange peel slice n ur jar and let it sit with the bud for a while. That usually helps. Try grinding ur weed up b4 u smoke it. Idk just an idea. Might help get some of that flavor out. Good luck man. Hope ur bud tastes better :)

did u have decent genetics to start with?
Sannies seeds fairly good from what ive heard and seen.
Lol guess i didnt flush enough, yah i think my problem was that i dried em too fast and might have been better to have a more even/lighter feed schedule.

Next time ill go lighter on nutes as well as use a hygrometer to dry em for 10-14 days slowly and evenly.

Might grab some everclear and make greendragon/tincture...

What is this greendragon you speak of? Sounds interesting.

I tried to wiki, darn media blackout!

i grow using 100% organic super soil and 100% organic compost tea.... its a lazy mans way to amazing marijuana.... i dont have to flush.. just chop, dry and smoke

BUT i USED to grow Hydro in CoCo, so i do know a little.... i used to flush with Reverse osmosis water and Carbo Nutriets for 1 week, then Pure tap water for 1 week.

Do you know why organic tastes better? I mean the plants are getting the same nutrients right?

Green Dragon is where you let your weed soak in high % alcohol and the alcohol absorbs the THC. Generally people use anything with 151 proof or higher. Then if you want you can evaporate off some alcohol and make it a concentrated tincture.

Do you know why organic tastes better?
it tastes better because Organic nutrients use Suger based nutrients (Most organic Nutrients comtain glucose in one form or another) Rather than Salt based nutrients like Hydroponic ferts. Hydro bud also has a higher content of Chelated metals in the final product which effect the taste.

plants are getting the same nutrients right?
essentially Yes, but Technically no... the Organic nutrients have been processed by bacteria and fungi producing what we call "Fixed" nutrients. these fixed nutrients are easier for the plant to uptake and lead for a more diverse structure of compounds in the soil.

For instance, if i get a REALLY good hydro fertilizer it will usualy have as many as 13 elements in it (formiing 13 molecular compounds), but a REALLY good Organic fertalizer will have up to 64 different molecular compounds in it.

You dried it to fast. Drying and Curing are the same thing. And it should take you about 30 days. You want to evaporate a large portion of the moisture inside the material to prevent mold and rot by hang drying it for 3 - 7 days...BUT you want to keep at least 50% of the moisture there. You need this remaining moisture for the "Cure"/ Slow dry in the jars. This moisture is used to convert the chlorophyll and other compounds into terpens and sugars. Buy a few hygrometers for your first few try's. then you should be able to do it by eye/hand.
