Dries out each on cycle

Autoflower planted a month ago in a 2x4 tent, another one in there too. 200 watt light two feet above the plants, dimmed to 60 percent. Humidifier inside the tent (struggling to get it to 55% rh because it’s so dry inside in PA in winter). Temp never exceeds 80 F.

Question: why is this thing always drooping and the fabric pot bone dry at the end of the 16 hr time cycle? Have to water each day and then it perks right up.

I’ve been feeding it lightly but I don’t think that’s helping. I suspect it’s too small of a planter although tips here suggested three gallons would be fine. Appreciate your thoughts.

A 3 gallon pot would be fine, grown way bigger plants than that auto using them...are you foliar spraying? Tops look burnt and i saw this same sort of issue just last week and was due to spraying them with lights on , you probs having a different scenario i dunno but bone dry within 1 cycle ? I find that very hard to believe when i don't need to water for two days using 100% perlite with big plants using a 3 gallon ., Also lower leaves are very yellow looks nutrient deprived.

Thanks. I do spray but only with lights off. I’m going to increase nutrients too.

That's about 1.8L and run off is a good thing, just don't let it sit in it.

You didn't say, is that coco ?

And why don't you turn up the light ?

Cheers
Not sure what coco is, but this soil is called Purple cow indicana. I’ll Jack the light up a bit and see what happens. Thanks.

Do you have a fan blowing at the pot or have the intake next to the pot? Try adding a wind shield, but the problem is probably something different. We need more info, what regime for watering and feeding, what medium and so on. As many details as possible

I have an oscillating fan that blows all over, primarily upward, and that’s to help build strong stems. The dirt is a premix made for indicas. Re watering I’ve been a bit cautious since initially I overdid it. Have switched to a full dousing until it runs out the bottom - I set the pots on top of pebbles so it doesn’t rot the roots. Feed is 1/4 teaspoon per gallon of a blend that I used outdoors with great success.

This is my first indoor grow. Been a challenge. My on cycle is overnight as I work in the adjacent office during the day. Last night I inserted a bigger cool mist vaporizer and since it didn’t run out of water, they look a lot better this am. Thanks.
