I tried all jacks. Bloom and finish , bloom is garbage chart says no part b but i get calcium deficiency everytime exact same thing with finish no calcium. No this time in trying jack finish with athena fade and i kind of like it. Regarding prices loca shop have 25 lb bag for 100 not sure why website says 200.So, you need the 3 different bags of the Athena pro line right? The 25# bags are $200 each, so that would be $600 for the best bulk buy. Or just over $300 something for the 10# boxes. So, $3-600 for 30-75lbs of salts. That's pretty expensive! Then again, I think Jacks doubled in price since I got mine a few years ago, but still... I think I would pass on that..
Part a in athena has 0 nitrogen compared to 7% in jack part a. See why athena is better. With jack u cant get low n with enough calcium unless u use like gh calmag.N control? Jack's part B is just calnite. you can adjust the amount you use. that's pretty good N control afaik. Athena salts are 3 part with calnite as well. Just way more expensive.
I did not but heard a lot of good thingsno idea how much it costs but did you try masterblend its almost the same as jacks?
Jack slowly becoming like others. U need 5 different salts each around 120$. And to get bettercredluts u can use calcium sulfate for last 2 weeks instead of cal nitrate.Never tried those.
I would try out some of the other Jacks blends at least, like their finish, or bloom nutrient product with less N before I started paying for bottles of water again though...
Jacks A&B with a dash of epsoms grows about as good of plants as anything else I've ever used, and I've tried dozens of hydro nute lines. I've never noticed a nitrogen toxicity or anything like that, but then again I only feed what the plants seem to want.
I still have an almost full bottle of kool bloom that's like 5 years old now, and doubt i'll ever really use it..
Can't argue with that, I do think its kinda dumb they want you to buy finish and bloom, and each part is only supposed to be substituted for a week, then right back to part A and B (for nice roots and green veg growth as stated on the package, not flower)most the time...Jack slowly becoming like others. U need 5 different salts each around 120$. And to get bettercredluts u can use calcium sulfate for last 2 weeks instead of cal nitrate.
You could drop the calnit with jacks at the end of flower and substitute calcium chloride + a micronutrient blend like MOST or STEM and it would be similar to Athena's "Fade" which is just calcium chloride plus micronutrients.Part a in athena has 0 nitrogen compared to 7% in jack part a. See why athena is better. With jack u cant get low n with enough calcium unless u use like gh calmag.
Any links for most or stem ?You could drop the calnit with jacks at the end of flower and substitute calcium chloride + a micronutrient blend like MOST or STEM and it would be similar to Athena's "Fade" which is just calcium chloride plus micronutrients.
Why would you need the micros? They’re already in the jacks baseYou could drop the calnit with jacks at the end of flower and substitute calcium chloride + a micronutrient blend like MOST or STEM and it would be similar to Athena's "Fade" which is just calcium chloride plus micronutrients.
Can’t in hydro, that’s like a soil amendmentU need just cal sulfate
You’re right, Athena puts micros in their core so it’s needed if replacing with their “fade.”Why would you need the micros? They’re already in the jacks base
Really ? Well coco is considered hydro right ? So if u want low nitrogen or no nitrogen in late flower with jacks u screwedCan’t in hydro, that’s like a soil amendment
