Driving cross country with a couple LBS. (Boston to Cali and back)

So my close buddy moved to Sacramento to go to college 2 years ago, I went to visit him last year and realized how cheap he was getting bud for. He wants to send me some via usps but Id rather take a road trip and go pick up around 10lbs. Im going to be traveling i80 through multiple states so if anybody knows what kind of trouble im looking at if caught up it be aopreciated if you could fill me in. Btw I come from a family of metal fabricators so I was planning on cutting a hole into the sheet metal in my trunk and stuffing that, weld it back up, then throw the carpet back over it.

You are potentially looking at Interstate Transportation of a controlled substance on the Federal level, and possession with intent to distribute charges in every state you pass through. ESPECIALLY with 10 lb.
You'd be better off shipping it.

yeah driving seems more risky then shipping it
i know alot of people that get bud shipped from cali or colorado. i know people that gets pounds in a package and then some who get ounces in it
so its doable just gotta be smart about it. or grow your own.

i gotta believe... done right ...driving it would be way safer but i wouldnt worry bout it ........ i wouldnt drive it straight thru keep that cruise control locked..........plan on crossing illinois indiana and ohio on a wednesday

In that case maybe a litte under 10 lbs, and would that be similar to a trafficking charge? If so would I be tried in MA or where I was potentially caught up? Thanks

Yeah man, Id say if you got any type of "ok" connect and pay like an extra g and a half, keep doing that bro, seriously. 30K down the drain, countless years in a fed prison, everyone you know would think a little different of you (family). Shipping has been getting more and more cracked down upon via usps. One suggestion, if you are going to drive. Drive during congested times of the day never at night. I have always thought that being with constant big flow of traffic, theres more to concentrate on for cops. But, if you got pulled over, guaranteed you will start shaking your ass off, scared as fuck and he will know you are hiding something, probably cause, hell get a dog, they will rip your car apart to find it... and they always do..its their job, theyve most likely seen all scenarios thousands of times.

in most states traveling with more than a pound will be considered trafficking. Theres no reason to get greedy man, thats when you started getting cought..

mysunnyboy- I drive a grand marquis right now but I dont trust that it has like 85k on it. Been looking at newer model camrys or civic, real standard cars to see anywhere not hotboy at all.Plus even if we do get posted my buddy whose traveling with me is vetran and has family stained in cali so we got a perfect story no reason to suspect anything

dank smoker - yeah my biggest connect around here gets all his bud shipped in. I already have a grow going at the house though and live with my parents I wouldent want to get then caught up if I was gettin bud shipped to their residence

wayno - I agree driving seems way safer to me less probability of being intercepted at some point, and after talking with my boy were gonna go through through the south our way there, up the southern coast of so. cal, into sacremento to pick up, then drive back home via i80

laughingduck - definatley im gonna take all precautions when im on this trip, its honestly not the end of the world to me if I did get caught, my parents wouldent be mad or anything and im old enough now to where its like if im gonna get in trouble nows the time to do it when buds still illegal in mass and still has money to be made

filthy phil- I thought of that too but was turned off by the idea because my buddy whose stationed in coranado,ca had his car brought out on a tractor
trailor and the hauler lost the car and ended up having to take them to small claims court :/ I know its probably a isolated case but it also costs a couple g's

why not just stay the fuck home and grow your own?your plan seems silly as fuck and its also one of the reasons cali's mmj program is under fire.

I'd detour around kansas if I were you, they still nail people to the cross for ANY amount.

I appreciate the input but I cant say I agree fully, im not going to be shaking my ass off if I or my buddy do get pulled over mainly because ive been pulled over before with weight on me in my city before and never been suspected

Just make sure no one can smell it. I was behind a U-Haul the other day and it was just wreaking of fresh cut bud and I was 500 yards behind it going 70. I really hope he was traveling a short distance because there is no way that a cop with a cracked window wouldn't have picked that up.

You seem silly as fuck and I do grow my own as I stated but I also sell lbs. I take the same amount of risk might as well cut out the.middle man where the fuck is your american spirit
