Yeah that's true for plants that have at least some root system.Everything I am reading says that older yellow growth means a nutrient deficiency...is there any other reason why this would happen?

There is hydroton rock under the perlite, 3 to 1 mix. ..thirsty or hungry?is there any dirt under that perlite?...droopy usually means thirsty and perlite can not retain water and that rockwool cube looks to be small.
Honestly because where i am at the options for making a good soil mix are slim to none brothirsty for sure...hydroton does not retain water, neither does perlite..she is real thirsty...ph that water b4 you add it..why hydroton over soil? are you going to add a continous dripper?
