Drooping/Yellowing of lower leaves only?

I just transplanted the plants into a 5 gallon bucket. I used black hen newts but hardly put any in the medium. every two - three days ive been watering the foilage through soil and leaves. Im using a 400w mh. i have a p.h., moisture, and light meter. the top seems to be doing fine its just the bottom when its starts to droop and lightening of the leaves. any ideas? I think it is just stress from the transplant but it might be nute or watering problems.

I'm still new to the grow game but those look damn healthy to me overall. I do wonder if the yellowing leaves at the bottom are getting enough light to survive and they look like they are resting on top of the soil? I know regular house plants don't like leaves resting in soil so I can't imagine bud does either. I would try to get some light down there and definitely remove some of the soil where the leaves are resting in it.

so should iuproot it and replant? im still new to this too
I wouldn't go so far as to repot. I would just smooth the medium out and skim a little off the top since it's a fresh repot...just enough so the leaves don't sit in it. I would definitely get a light source that would help the lower sections of the plant. Me personally, I'm using 5-23W CFL's. One on top of each plant and one that's dropped down the center of the four lighting up the lower sections. Again, I'm still a scrub at this thing too so if I'm wrong with my suggestions someone please chime in here.

BTW, is that sand you're growing in?

i put 2in of sand at the top for the fungus gnat. They tore my other plants up. So as a preventer i just put the sand on top as soon as transplant

016.jpg this is after i skimmed some of the sand off and lined the bucket with tin foil to reflect some light on to the bottom leaves. Do you think this will be alright till i get some cfls to light the sides.

That looks a lot better to me. I think you'll be fine until you can get some light down there. Other than that, you've got a really healthy looking plant there and it's going to love the light down below, mine sure did. Are you going to do any topping? I'm not saying you should, just asking.

i wasnt going to do any topping this time. i'd like to see a nice ol' bud at the top. Do you think it would be more usefull to top it, and when is the best time to top
