Droopy Leaves; New environment and LED lighting.

Yesterday I moved my (FIRST PLANT (Newbie)) from a homemade grow box at approx. 500 PAR, to a grow tent under a new 300w LED grow light (PAR approx. 900). I also gave it plenty of water and nutrients. Within 4 hours of doing all the above, the leaves became droopy (see attached photo). I moved it today and started the 18/6 cycle with the 300w down to 500-600 PAR. What's your Opinion on the cause of the plant drooping?

App to give general Idea; PPFD Meter. Seems my phone max-out at 754, so I measured using 5% increments. Logging Amps, Watts, Dimmer % and PPFD. My measurements are a ballpark, used to compare.

every test I’ve done against that app has put it about 100 ppfd over the actual readings from 2 different sensors. So you’re most definitely stressing them tf out with your intensity

lift that light all the way up and dim it until the plants start to pray again.

So you think, my phones max ALS was 854 (ish) instead of 754? I moved it from 900par/300 watts to, 570par/180w, same distance 19". You think I should do more?

If you were reading 900ppfd it’s more than likely it was 1000ppfd.

You’re over thinking this stuff, lift light until plant is happy, a plant that size I would be giving it 300ppfd. Ditch the app, it’s junk and learn to read what your plants like instead imo.

Basic advixe here is lift the hight, increase first temps until about 27C/81F and if still shitty looking plants you can play with humidity and hanging height.

300w / 19" dont mean a thing unless you know output and size of the light.

also: is this still veg? Thats a lot.of light. Check recents threads: people are getting great 4x4 results from 180w of vegg all spread out. Please at least admit the real posibily that your over lighting yat plant.

I had a similar issue when I first switched from HPS to LED. It wound up being less of an issue of light intensity and more about my VPD needs being completely different under LED than what had worked perfectly for me for years under HPS.

I would make sure that your environment and VPD are ideal first before tweaking any other parameters of the grow like moving the light, changing feed etc. The jump from 500 to 900 ppfd could be causing the issue, but I had the same issue with drooping plants under 500ppfd, and bringing the Temps and Humidity up (around 80F, 70rh) brought things around quite quickly after tearing my hair out for weeks thinking it was overfeeding/underfeeding, light burn, ph or root issues. My low humidity was causing transpiration issues that led to a calcium toxicity which brought on Magnesium and Potassium deficiency, and the first signs of problem was always the drooping.

All that said, 900 is a lot of light for that stage of growth, I would have that at about 4-500 max, get the VPD in range and watch them take off

LMAO..."Please at least admit the real posibily that your over lighting yat plant."
I think my opening statement clearly shows over lighting was the first thing I zoned in on. The photo I attached shows a 10" plant still in veg.

500-600 par is still too high for that size of plant. IMO get it in the 300-400 range. Make sure your humidity and temps are where they need to be. Slightly higher temps under led's than you would with HPS.

I like to transition my plants into bloom over the course of a week. Start at 50% light intensity and ramp up over the week up to 100%.

Sounds good! Thks The temp/humidity is still the same as before, but not up to 80/70.

Kewl... DO you change height of the LED as you transition, or just power? (assuming height hasn't changed)
