7pm, Saturday 1st February
I transplant 21 cuttings into pots of clay pebbles
and 2 into 6" blocks of rockwool
I feed them with a Wilma Hydro system
reservoir has EC0.7/pH 5.7 solution
(Canna Aqua Vega A & B, Cannazym, Canna Rhizotonic)
They go under a 600w MH for 18/6
in a space 4 x 4ft
With the lights on Temps stay 74 to 80
and RH between 55% and 70%
During lights off Temps drop to a low of 62.
At 5.30pm 2 of the small plants were VERY DROOPY!
They were directly under the centre of the light
so I moved them to the edge of the 'footprint'.
I didn't want to risk making an overfeed worse
so I gave pure water to make sure that dehydration wasn't the problem.
2 hours later one of the plants had recovered so well that I had to concentrate to even remember which one she was
and the other was 80% recovered.
But another one that was under the centre of the light had started to droop a tiny bit
(she looked 'tired').
I gave her pure water.
An hour later 2 were completely recovered and the 3rd was back to almost full health.
WHAT ARE THE CAUSES OF DROOPING LEAVES?
The worst affected of the 3 plants was almost lying down!
Is it likely that they had simply dried out a little too much???
All opinions welcome
(unless they're deliberately stupid).
