dropping many bottom leaves in early flower. is this normal?

This is solid advice for where you are now. I've been there...most soil growers have. Well into flower you just want to fix it and finish as best you can.
I call it "Douche and start fresh" I mix up five times the container volume with water and vinegar to 5.5pH and flush the plant. Then treat it as DTW hydro.
I recommend Dyna-Gro Grow. Its a complete one bottle formula that's proven to work from start to finish. A small 8 ounce bottle will get her done.

Dyna-Gro Foliage Pro to be specific. I’ve seen great veg results (in not my grows).

Yup, as disappointed as I am, I went and got some hydro nutes last night.

I think I realized another possible cause of the issues; I had also been adding a light amount of molasses for the last few waterings (1 tbsp/gallon)
Other than a hotter light, that was one of the only recently changed variables of this grow. I'm just now reading that the burst of bacteria that it helps feed can also temporarily starve plants above of nitrogen.
I see all these people adding molasses to help with organics but almost no-one mentioning that.. I guess I should have used it as a late-flower flush rather than an early flower pro-biotic
