Dry amendments, mainlined green crack

Have a now 2 month old mainlined Green Crack photo. She’s in a 3gal pot, in pure coco with a ton of perlite. She’s very happy.

She’ll be going into a 7gal pot with coco and dry amendments. Single plant in a 4x4 and Scrog.

My question being what kind of 4-4-4/3-9-4 ratio should I be looking at as well as how many tablespoons per gallon to amend the initial medium?

Really not trying to screw this up this time ha. I have down to earth azomite, seabird guano, neem seed meal, insect frass, and I was wondering what kind of combo (if any) people would throw in for the initial transplant and then flip to flower…. Thanks so much

50/50 ratio. 3 table spoons per gallon as the master of this method does it (canuck). you wont get much feedback from anyone using this method as most veteran growers frown upon this method despite them never trying it. dry amendments cant break down in coco without microbes but adding stuff as guano an earth worm castings itll introduce those. Mycorrhizae also helps.

Ahh thank you. Ok so 3tbsp per gal of the 50/50 ratio. Then I’ll most likely toss in Kelp meal, insect frass, tons of EWC, and Humic/fulvic acid. Then maybe water in with molasses, great white, and some other microbe goodies.

would you add in any seabird guano now or maybe top dress later on? It’s 0-11-0 I believe. For the roots and for the transition etc? Thanks man

2 tablespoons of all purpose mix per gallon of medium. So just shy of 1 cup for your 7 gallon pot. You could go all 4-4-4. Or half 4-4-4 and half 3-9-4. Or some cool custom ratio that seems good to you.

I would personally also add 1/4 to 1/2 cup of azomite to the "base," initial transplant mix.

Neem is good. I would top dress with a couple teaspoons of neem every 2 weeks during veg. And one last time during week 2 of flower. If you wanted you could probably use a teaspoon of 4-4-4 too.

Frass is good too. I would use 1 teaspoon of frass + 2 Teaspoons of flowering mix every couple of weeks in flower. If you really wanted to get cute you could use 2 Teaspoons of flower mix during the last week of veg, so you have some phosphorus in action as you flip to 12/12 to help kick off flowering.

There was a dude here that made a lime tea for every watering.Now not sure if it was coco but it was 1/2 tsp lime 1/2 alfalfa and 444. per 4 gal water.Bubbled 24 hrs.I maybe off a little,Ill see if I can find it.

Damn, thank you bro. Much appreciated. Going to sit down one day this week and make up a list of what to amend with and bring all this info together! I am curious how long it take the azomite to start working though. I was hoping it would handle some trace minerals and I have it but how long to start breaking it down. Should I crush it up into a powder first?

I’m now terrified of lime after this current run. I used like 1/4-1/2 the recommended dose to just “help out” with some buffering and it held my PH at 7 almost the whole grow lol!

I would think the ca/mg would help organic coco?Never tried,peat is cheap and seems to work.Good luck.

Yeah I’m scared though. I guess it’s a very very small dose and in 4gal so might be really cool to use. I have to ditch my current calmag+ and find something else for organics tho, it has an N value of 2 I think which I hate

The Azomite will work fast enough that you don't have to worry about it! If you're super, super concerned you can grind it up real fine (just so you can sleep at night) but I wouldn't bother with that.

Day 68

She’s been successfully transplanted. And accidentally topped for a 4th time ha. Didn’t skip a beat she’s growing strong! His is what I went with. Hopefully it’s enough food for a decent amount of time. Might think about too dressing every week with a TSP of 4-4-4 but not sure. Gauging the food ahead of time seems pretty challenging to me as a noob.

Rest of my bag of EWC (maybe 1/8-1/4 bag)
1 cup 4-4-4
1/2 cup Azomite
1 cup Kelp Meal
1/2 cup Insect Frass
2 tbsp Seabird Guano (for roots, just a bit)
4 tbsp Mykos
2 tbsp Humic/Fulvic
Sides and bottom of root ball dusted with Great White and sprinkled some on the bottom under the ball as well

Watered with 1gal, 5ml calmag, 2tbsp molasses, 1 Aloe leaf filleted and blended into solution.

it was tough removing the plant from the 3gal pot and there was zero root swirling. So either the fabric pot was air pruning them or the just hadn’t overgrown their pot yet and I was a bit early. No clue. Couple large white roots at the bottom though
