Drying box, will it work?

will this do fine if the box is made of cardboard for the "hanging" section of curing? my closet is about 80degrees lately b/c of the heat and i thought it better to have lower temps. so why not get it as close to the A/C vent as possible while keeping it in the dark?

sorry about so many Microsoft Paint pics...i'm just getting ideas and don't feel like drawing and scanning. plus my buds look like green turds or pickles.

wow no replies at all? i'm guessing most ppl don't think it'll work very well.

if you put an exhaust hole opposite your air intake hole and hook up a little comp. fan or an muffin fan there it'd do you a lot better...

the box is made of cardboard, so there is plenty of spaces/places for air to get out. below the box is the running air of the a/c filtered thru a wet sheet into the bottom intake hole. there is an exhaust on the top, but i cover that up w/ a black t-shirt to keep light out.

i'm just saying... putting a little extractor fan in there would help getting the air actually moving through and around the inside of the box... making it work better...

i thuoght ventilation would dry the buds out too fast...like air moving too quickly around them...

i planned on keeping them in there for about a week or so.

i did open the vent hole completely and covered it w/ a hovering notebook to divert light.

If your putting near an a/c unit i would be careful. A/C units pull moisture out of the air and the air coming out of an ac vent is very dry even though it is cold. It could dry them out very fast. Just a thought

Creating a dry box is very simple. If you're going cheap and use cardboard, even simpler. All you need is wire or netting to hang the buds on, a small 65cfm PC fan on the bottom of the box, and an exhaust on top covered with a simple charcoal filter.

You can go over to HG420.com for some very good DIY's of cardboard drying box's.

P.S.- I myself converted a small hinged door cabinet into one. Just slapped a PC fan in the back, use twisty ties that come in 30 yard rolls to hang the buds on. Since you have the I pattern in any two door hinged cabinet, I simply duct-tape the box shut, except the top line. I then cover that with a very small strip of charcoal filter.

Works pretty good.

humidity is around 50% and temps are aroudn 60-65. the intake is pure air conditioned air moving through a sheet. there is a passive exhaust which moves hair noticeably when held over. i think it'll work...i'll take pics of buds before i bag em.

y not water cure it it only takes a week and no hassle of bulding shit

already built it. water curing takes smell/flavor away.

i knew i'd been loving it ("medicine" haha) the right way.

i get high, i don't medicate. nothing's wrong w/ me that needs weed to fix.
