Don't think fresh air is a major concern, but air movement is a must, do you have a fan going in the closet?

Depends on the temps and humidity where you are. Last few years here in nor cal, I hung trimmed branches in a closed closet and the outside started crisp ing within a few days. First time I tried drying I used a fan, and they were almost too dry to cure within a few days.

So dry air and warm temps, shouldn't need a fan, if you have high humidity might want to use one

^^^Good to know, I've always been told to use a fan, but your reply makes sense...you can learn something new everyday, thanks obijohn
