Drying conditions... How bad is it?

I live in a VERY warm and humid country.
My temps during the day get has high as 32c or 89.6f and I can't get it any lower because I don't have AC but my humidity is usually around 55 to 65 RH.
At nights it drops to about 27c or 80f with the same 55 to 65 RH (when rain falls it goes up like a lot).
My intentions is to cut my entire tree to dry at once and to trim the big fan leaves and leave as much foliage on the tree to help it dry as SLOW as possible.
Based on this information... How am I going to be looking?
I mean my RH is pretty good but the place is so HOT rn

Any tips to get as best results as I can get given how bad my temps are during drying?

Complete Newbie and this is just discussion thread. I'd like to hear others thoughts.
I can't do anything about the temps.

It’s amazing what a dehumidifier can sometimes do to help out in the cooling things down too. I ran mine during the summer in the basement with my tent during what one of the hottest summers on record in southern Ontario. It will take down your RH% but you can also set the machines to a certain point, but noticed it did help keep the entire house slightly cooler. Sometimes had to empty it 3 times a day set at a 55% RH on my 61L Danby.


the only other suggestion is to spend the money($1-4K) and look into the new fancy gadgets to take all your worries away for you. I do freeze drying but when we bought a medium size freeze dryer from Harvest Right (Juicerville distributer in Canada) We opted for the oilless pump and was almost $1.5k alone on that, for a grand total near $6.3k Cnd. Was also bought mostly for food preserving but this is a handy bonus for me. Also check out @Tht_Blk_Guy27 and his Cannacontrol perfect cure thread for another drying option. I’m sure he can walk you through and answer any questions you have

Lower humidity makes it feel cooler but my dehumidifier creates heat

so does mine but thankfully (sadly not in the op’s favour) my basement is relatively cool in the warm months with the central air on. Maybe move the dehumidifier away from the plants in the corner of another room to do its thing

Depends on how much weed you have but if you’ve got loads then I’d break the bank with an ac unit, if it’s a couple of plants then invest for next time. It’s make or break with drying your weed properly.

Luckily, All the weed I've ever smoked was probably bad since it was illegal LOL
Cannabis just became decriminalized where I live. So I decided to try out growing.

and I mean it can't be that bad. Right?

what you probably need to do is ask some Jamaicans. You will have to lose most of your terpenes because of the heat.
It's conjecture but maybe you can add a little humidity at those temps to slow down drying even though it's pretty high already. Maybe 62-65%. Sativas probably aren't as susceptible to mold because they're usually fluffy. in any case I think you should stick to one strain that works in your climate and continue to perfect your drying technique. and only burp for 5 secs a day.

Lol ok. Only thing I can think of is( not ideal) is when buds start to feel slight crisp( probably a few days in your case ) then jar it and just burp twice a day every day for a week or two. That way your not totally drying out the bud with the dry. Also water the plant the day before you cut it down so it’s fully saturated. Leave all foliage on including fans.

Nice tip!
Wouldn't burp for long.

Question... If the heat breaks down the terpenes... Which is the smell and flavor... Will that affect the high? Will it still be as potent if not taste as good?

Good call on watering a day before.
I was going to let it dry out but I guess more moisture the better.

As for drying... The tree is about 1.5ft tall and I'm taking it all down at the same time.
I spoke to some people locally who grow nd they said a branch when clipped takes about 3 days.
So I'm hoping my entire tree takes about 5 to 7 days to dry

Should that be good enough?
Does my guesstimate sound wrong?

Yeah hang the whole plant dude will delay things, just make sure gentle air flow over the plant

Its gonna be wicked bad. You better have super fire genetics to survive that heat. I used ILGM seeds with perfect drying conditions. Had a slow cure for 2 weeks today and the bud is just ok. Mids to be totally honest. I couldn't imagine bad genetics AND harsh drying conditions. Be prepared to be really sad with the end product.

I'm growing Jack Herer Auto from 2fast4buds.
It'll be unfortunate but that's the way this cookie will need to crumble.
