My plant is in flower and i was talking to someone the other day who has grown in the past and he said after harvesting about wrapping in newspaper and burying it in soil for 2 weeks, is this bs or any logic to it?

On the same note anyone got got a noob drying / curing guide?

I tried a guide before and the weed ended up too dry and flakey?

I have one...Its fool proof...I did not create it...Spaceship farmer did, but Ill post it.

Cut all leaves from buds, leaving only the flower.
Leave the buds on the branch.
Hang branches for 3-4 days on a line in a dark room at 70-75 degrees with average humidity (50-60rh)
Clip buds from branch and into cardboard box. Make sure they are one layer thin on the bottom of box not stacked. Leave them in the box, with the top on, for 3-4 days, giving them a good shake once a day.
Put buds in an air tight glass jar (Ikea) for 3-4 days. *** Very important to shake up and BURP(open top to release gasses) ONCE A DAY*****
After that it should be ready. If anyone tells you it will take less than 10 days to properly cure nugs, forget anything else they have ever told you.
The nugs should barely smell until you twist-break them open, then it should be DANK!

Hahaha he buried buds in soil that are only wrapped in newspaper. This site gets funnier and funnier. You never dry buds in newspaper. Theres toxic shit in the newsprint. Secondly why would buring anything help anything? You dig that stuff up and have read the news YOU GOT MOLDY DIRTY BUDS.

LOL. If you bury it in soil, take a pic. Nobody will believe you actually did it.
Why would you bury it? So your bud could get all smashed, hold the moisture in and mold, then the paper absorb moisture from the dirt and get all soggy so when you try and pull it out it all falls apart?
Come on dude, please don't do that after your hard work to grow it.

There was a time, early 1970's?, when we buried our pot in the belief that mold made the pot better.
At least that what we thought.
