Drying question

I cut and hung my mystery plant AKA UFO back on 6 july and just moments ago 16 july I checked the plant, when snapping the stem it bends like a copper wire then you feel a click. It does not snap like a tooth pick, I saw https://www.rollitup.org/t/a-perfect-cure-every-time.514841/ and wondering if it still the same ?. So if the stems I checked does not snap like a toothpick do I wait longer or is she ready to trim and put in jars ?.

You've dried for 10 days at what temp and humidity?

I don't go for a potato chip snap. The worst thing is jarring them and they're at 40% in the jar and stay at 40%. In that case, jarring them a little too early and having to burp them frequently (or spread and lay them out for 10 minutes the first couple of days) is better than being overdried.

It's going to take a few grows to get your dry and cure dialed in. Have mini hygrometers to monitor the humidity in the jars.

I keep the room between 71-75 f and RH is 45-60 depending on the AC.

Yes get some buds in some jars and see what the % is. If it goes to 70% take them out for an hour. And try again But there are the insides and outsides of the buds to consider, the stems, and everything. Big ones will be moister on the inside.

I checked a few with a moisture meter and was between 8 -10 %but the hygrometer s are showing 10-12 %.

This thing you are sticking into the stem is not the way. Unless you have a huge branch. But even then. Just feel the buds. Now if your little hygrometer in a jar with the buds says 12% you
Might be in trouble. What is the humidity of your climate, like are you in the desert? What’s your rooms humidity.

What am I looking for, should the bud be dry. I checked with my moisture meter and it say's 10 %.
In my opinion, that should be good. Anywhere between 8 and 12 percent(8 to 10 if you are a joint smoker 10 to 12 if you vape). But when I check with meter I always try to get the highest reading, and go by that. In other words both probes in and manipulate to you get the highest reading. Here is example.

Is it in a sized jar where the bud will take up 3/4 of the jar? Is your jar an air-tight jar? How long has the bud been in the jar?

That looks like my meter so I guess I'm good to go, thanks.

I have mason jars and new lids and only fill half way, I put the flower in last night and burp them 2-3 times a day. I also ordered some TerpLoc Curing & Storage Bags.
