Drying till stems snap?

i've been growing for a while and am still a little confused about when people say they hang dry their buds till the stems snap, then they put them in a jar. i've noticed that when you hang dry the bud till the stems snap it still leaves a taste of chlorphyll and then when you go to sweat the buds they barely have any moisture to push out! I usually hang my buds for 3-4 days, then trim, then put in a jar. once in the jar i will get them out for a couple hours everyday to let them dry out more and then throw them back into the jar and repeat the process for about 3 weeks.and i ahve never had mold as a result from doing it this way! am i the only one who does it this way? does anyone have any comments about their results from hang drying till the stems snap?

Some buds are thick as hell so when the stem snaps there is a lot of moistre in the buds. The skinnier the buds the less time to dry before going into the jar. Sounds like you are doin it "ok"

The whole concept is to dry the buds super slow. By putting them in jars it slows the drien process down.:joint:

Edit: I would trim before you hang them up it will dry quicker and its easier to trim then.

if the whole idea is to dry it slower then wouldnt it be better to leave the leaves on till they dry so it takes longer to dry? plus by letting the leaves dry it will add more weight to them in the end.

good advice.
longer the better.
uncured/fast dried, unflushed buds are horrid.
flushing and curing is key.
id say.:joint:

Drying: [FONT='Calibri','sans-serif']First cut off all the leaves surrounding the buds and the tips of the leaves coming out of the buds. (should wear powder free latex gloves) Drying should be done in a DARK environment in less than 80 degrees. Hang buds upside down by a string with a fan running at all times. Humidity around 50% if possible. Dry for 1-2 weeks or until the stems snap off without bending.

Curing: Place buds in glass containers up to 75% full and place in a dark place. Burp the containers once or twice daily for the next 7-10 days.

Drying and curing is sooo important for good tasting bud, please dont rush it!!

Duece.
