Drying with dehydrator without heat

I discon the heat element to dehydrator. Hoping it will dry bud without damaging trichomes. Anyone used this method?

How long did it take? I have been drying for about 24 hours. Branches not snapping off yet, I just don’t want to over dry! Lol! But did it effect ur end product? Far as taste and potency?

If it works well. It will sure save a lot of time.
