Today I finished transplanting and watering my girls. The SB (strawberry-banana) are now both in 3 gal pots while the SM (silver mountain) are in their 1 gal pots. 3 gal is the highest I am going with these containers. Their next stop will be into the bed itself, soon followed by the SM that I deem keepers lol Unfortunate I do not have the room for more than 4 plants but if I end up with more than 2 females from the SM, I will be looking closely to see which ones get planted into the bed and which ones do not.

In case anyone was interested, I am using FFOF soil for these plants while they are in containers. For the 3 gal pots I dug out maybe 3 gal of soil from the bed to use in the 2 pots, I then mixed it with the FFOF to finish filling in the pots during transplant.

I added another order of predator mites (same quantities and types as before), just to make sure I have all the spider mites and some to keep them away..

I transplanted the two Strawberry-banana plants to the bed and still have the Silver Mountain plants in 1 gals. They are very ready to be moved up to a 3 gal but I really do not want to move everyone into 3 gals until after I can sex and get rid of the males. Pre-flowers are just beginning to show on a couple of them (so far the one's showing look like males but we will wait a little longer to be sure)

I do have some thoughts though. I am pretty sure B and F are girls though and overall they are my favorites of the ones I am not positive on (like E)

Well, mistakes were made, again. Lol All good though. I transplanted 2 silver mtn to the bed and installed the new scrog I made (eye screws and food string). Unfortunately, my ability to determine who is a Male or female early is not very good and one of them is a boy. Decided I will cut it down before anything pops and put it in some water and CFL lighting to finish it up away from my plants to store some pollen.

Otherwise everyone is doing great. I top dressed some homemade wormcastings and gave the plants an ACT.

Lights have been flipped to 12/12 and the girls are now day F03. I should be looking at harvest times in Feb.

Yesterday I took some pictures of the girls, cut down the boy silver mountain, and top watered in about 3 gallons of water mixed with coconut powder, yucca extract, and bio-phos.

On another note, I seem to have brought some friends into the garden with me when I added the worm castings from my worm bin. Looks like I now have some fungus gnats. Lucky for me, I have a healthy population of Hypoaspis miles in the planter bed, so over time these annoying gnats will disappear. I am not too overly worried.

When I cut down the boy (pollen sacks are ready or anything, all safe), I took each branch and put it in a cup of water and moved to a closet. Hopefully, the sacks of pollen will open before the branches die off and I can get some viable pollen for another time. The cup is sitting ontop of some tin foil, next to a small cfl lamp. The overall hope is the sacks pop and drop the pollen onto the foil, which I will then collect.

Just got back from another week long trip away from home. Luckily this time I am not seeing any type of issues. Looks like the spider mite issues might be behind me. Plants are coming along. The Silver Mountain plant smells really good. Here are a couple pics. Day F20

Hey buddy, I have a question. Where can I get that fabric you made your bed with? I live in Europe so US links won't work for me. What type of fabric is it and can I find it locally maybe?

Mine is actually a geopot but you can make one yourself out of non woven geotextile fabric and PVC pipe. The dimensions of mine are like 4ft x 4ftx15in

You should be able to find it wherever you are. It is pretty common throughout the world.

Another little update on the garden.

Everybody is looking good and happy. I found a single seed today while looking over the plants, but it is a single outlier seed. Idk how it got pollinated but maybe I missed a nanner. Just gonna wait and see there.

No issues this grow, no stressing em out, all good. Here's some pictures: day 38F

Today I ordered a 65w quantum board from hlg, so next week I should start vegging some new plants. I am going to do the next run differently without scrogging this time and running 5 or 6 plants instead. Gonna veg for less as well. I think I'll veg for 3-4 weeks and flip.

New seeds but I haven't decided on a strain. Debating popping silver mountain again, GDP, some other bodhi or irie genetics. Gotta make up my mind eventually

Honestly I think it is semi hard to go wrong nowadays as long as you buy from a breeder that seems to know his shit. Bodhi is good, I have a lot from him.

As for strains, the better question is what kind of high do you like? Pick a strain that fits your high and go from there. I like sativa uppitidy highs, so that mostly what I have been growing

I like anything thats good. I'm not picky about the high, I like experimenting everything. But I wan't my first photo to be heavy heavy indica. With big fat leaves. Thats what I always dreamed of growing when I wasn't able to grow.

I like Ken's grand daddy purple. My friends grows some and it's a pretty strong high. I've been thinking about starting some but I want to be sure I'm ready to take clones since I would want to keep a purple pheno

I know it! I was so sad I had to tear it down. The spider mites were just too bad when I got home from vacation. I did dry some of it and smoked it. Was great, if a little harsh from being so early but still got me high. Was a real uppity high, made me want to clean the house and enjoy it lol
