Dual arc bulb ??'s

So if this dual arc bulb has a 600w hps and a 400w mh..
does tht mean it doesnt get the penetration of a normal 1000w bulb??
does that mean i have to keep it closer than i normally would a 1000w?

cause it sure doesnt seem to get as hot as a HPS wud

As I understand it, lumens don't simply 'add-up' as you would imagine them to.

ya i cant find the answer any where.. its says 110,000 lumens tho im just wondering if 3feet from canopy is gunna cause airy nuggets..thts where i keep a normal 1000w
