Is it a clear tub? Mushies need light to fruit.

I mist it and fan it, distilled water and a drop or 2 of h2o2, and fan often, I might trip soon...;-)

Yeah it's a clear tub. I was thinking of using a 125W Fluro, wat do u reckon? Too hot? Too cold? Just Right?

Check out the thread I have on first time brf, here , 125w is prob not necessary, but would not hurt. Temps are something I can't find definitive answer, but I would say up to 83f or so would be ok tho lower be better...

Temps = 86 for colonization
76 for fruiting.

To grow fruit bodies 3 things must change, Temps down, light is introduced "enough to read under is enough light", Air exchange.

86 is too high, and I have been fruiting at 68, don't spread bad info...

You could get you a container 3x's smaller than that one for one cake bro, then you wouldnt have to work so hard to keep humidity

at 100%.

When you mist, are you letting the water get strait on the cake? its not too good for the mycelium.

How many Flushes have you gotten off that cake?

dude, your info for brf cakes is wrong, don't be a dick about it:eyesmoke:. 86f is too hot especially when the temps in the jar is at least 2f more then ambient. 78f may be an optimum temp to flush but mine have been at 68f and pinned at 4 days and are ready to fruit at anytime now at 8 days. Lets talk MJ, I am gonna be running some short riders in a month or so. Do you think lst would work well? ;-)

It just may take you a month longer to fruit than it should take.

Ive read alot about LST'n short riders but have yet to look into it myself.

I'm mainly into them for multiple harvest while waiting on my bigger girls to finish.

Nah, looks like you got it under control. I was just trying to srike a convo up with a fellow grower.

I scanned through the entire thread b4 posting but musta passed up the pages I was wanting to see.

I can talk MJ and or Mushrooms all day long.

I have 11 short riders going at the moment going in 5 gallon buckets outside

when they get a little height on 'em I will try a little LST on one of them for shits n giggles.

I am thinking of lsting 10 short riders at 24/0 for 2 weeks and then 20/4 to finish.
