Shouldn't you give us a link and tell us about your space you're going to try to grow with it or something so we can tell you if it's even the right thing to buy?
I mean two 400w lights, with that kind of power you're very very close to a single 1000 which can grow a whole lot better in say a 5'x5' floorspace and would probably cost less even with a conversion bulb or swtichable ballast. Way more lumens and deeper penetration leading to heavier buds from a single 1kw light.
If you have an item you don't want everyone buying and ending up sold out or whatever just post a link to the manufacturer page or something.

im pretty sure that hps/mh would be better for quality
but hps/hps would definently be better quantity.
dont listen to the guy above me its way more effective to have smaller lights spread out than 1 big light. Thats why most people go with 400Ws and 600Ws because 1000Ws arent as efficient.

i didnt find it on the net, i was shopping around and i found it at a local store i asked the guy would i be able to use both MH/HPS bulbs and he said yes and i remember reading about using both MH&HPS would give a better quality as duff420 said!? what im concerned about it has a built in ballast and i dont know about the heat ill it double? also i ill be using a huge fan in the room also EX fan? and a total of 800W i dont think its bad?
Here is a quick info about my room:
5Wx5Dx8.5H in the basement! im only growing for personal's and planning on flowering three plant's right now maybe more later on. BTW the lamp is ment to be for outdoors and its not build for growing............

Duff that was rude, and you don't know what you are talking about.
Explain to to us then how you think a 1000w HPS light which throws off 140k lumens will be beaten by two 400w lights throwing 50k lumens each.
How does it work where you are from? Two points of light going to outweigh nearly a third more light for around 100 more watts?

Are you sure he means both at the same time? It usually means one or the other.
In a 5x5 room the 1000 would do you better watt for watt, dollar for dollar on your electric bill, that's ideal for a single 1000 in fact, but if it's only for a personal stash and you don't have to support anyone else you could do fine with a single 400w hps if you had some flouro's or something to veg with. You don't have the burn this kind of electricity if you don't want to, not even two 400's, and broad spectrum lights are supposedly nice but if there's a real gain it's not really worth high electric rates right now imho.
The 1000w light will grow you better bud than a mix of hps and halide and cfl's and flouro tubes all combined with led's on top just for giggles.
The only thing better would be the sun.

better check into this unicorn a little closer ive never heard of a single ballast running two light bulbs ...they do have switchable ballast that can run either MH or HPS but never at the same time ..recheck this guys info i think he may be FOS...good luck
thats a good point but i believe when i asked about the price and i did mention that i want both MH and HPS he didnt say anything about it? i ill double check........

if i were u id put some shelvin in that shit and do a verticle grow. and use 2 hps to max space. the reason i say that 1000w aint great is because you have to put them so high up away from the plants and the plants dont get the light spread out as much as 2 bulbs of a lower wattage. usualy people do 2 600W.
