I hear what you are saying and agree...Do you guys feel there is a rift on this site? Like there are commercial growers, connoisseur growers, medical growers, micro growers, and beginning growers. It seems that for some reason they just cannot get along. For instance I am responsible for providing myself with medicine, while others are just growing because they can and then others still grow solely to sell. I'm not knocking recreational use, I have nothing against that because I used marijuana before my diagnosis recreationally. My point just seems that this website seems to be cliquish to an extent based on the size of our grows, for some reason a person with a room full of 1000W HID lights does not regard a micro PC grow with CFLs as a real grow kinda thing. In my eyes, if the plant is growing then it is a legitament grow. If it flowers and produces a harvest kudos to the grower. Hell some grows on this site never even make it past the seedling stage.
It is not just this site, it is all sites. I really have no clue about what I was rambling about but I had just finished reading some ignorant comments on some threads and just felt like saying that all growers on this site and others need to respect all growers of different types equally. Just the fact that they are growing is respectful in my opinion.
LOL, yeah the whole cloning seeds thing is a pain... I hear NASA is still working hard on the atom xerox for implementation on the next Star Trek vehicle.I hear what you are saying and agree...
Even my HERO, Al B. Fuct, was quick to shoot down anything that didn't harvest enough to get you through the next grow...
He has a point, but he didn't need to be rude about it, or make people feel stupid...
I try to help the newbs a much as I can... I am subscribed to like 357 threads... 3 of which I follow for my own interests... the others are just me trying to get folks started the right way...
But on the other hand...
There is nothing more anti-climatic than following an advanced grow, only to see the thread hijacked by some "how do I clone my seeds?" post...
But to illustrate what you said, I do tend to congregate with other members that are also doing ebb/flow SOG, as we can always discuss our techniques in the middles of casual bullshit talk....
I think it is only natural... remember high school?
Thanks, I had a friend try to help me with the reservoir maintenance and they put in tap water straight from the tap along with my regular nute solution... CalMag + soft water = danger for the plants. I'm running a weak RO mix right now to try to reverse the damage.WoW DubB...
That all looks awesome...
Love the minis...
Everything looks really good...!!!
I am about to get some pics of my girls...
See you after a while...
And yeah.. I agree with the whole thread etiquette/age thing... you are correct...
Cheers...!!!
I like to flower with 8 nodes at around 6" tall they end up around 2 ft with one strain. The other wants to be 3 ft tall. It is not a phenotype fit for the system and the mother will produce clones for a friend's system from now on.hey dubb how tall are your clones before they go into flower? And whats your final height, if ya know yet?
I got one i flowered early, from seed, and it looks like that, mine is about 1 1/2 foot tall right now. Growing buds tight packed like that.
cool, that seems to be the norm i hear at 6-7", wanna do a small sog in part of my cabinet, have 4 WW vegging now for a week now. Almost ready!I like to flower with 8 nodes at around 6" tall they end up around 2 ft with one strain. The other wants to be 3 ft tall. It is not a phenotype fit for the system and the mother will produce clones for a friend's system from now on.
nice. The good thing is this system has no where to go but up, as I finish working out the kinks in my design and feeding schedule as well as genetic selection the only thing left to do is rotate in clones when I harvest the mothers. I still have yet to run a test of a true aeroponic clone that has been vegged for a week and then placed in the system. That is the final goal.
The system is self sufficient and consuming 10-15 gallons of water a day. Good thing there is a built in RO system to keep the plants happy now.
Can't go wrong with grow bags full of perlite in a home made ebb and flow table. Cheap and super effective!nice.
I only have about a total of 3.5 feet for height including space for the light hood. But if i go Sog ill get a better canopy cover and have smaller growbag height.wanna stay in one gallon bags. Wanna go hydro one day but not yet.
Those roots look pretty brown for such a young plant, don't you think? Here are some pics (from the system you ragged on ) of a test run. This is 4 weeks from cut (Grapefruit Haze). By the way, Garden Knowm (from See More Buds videos) has joined the thread.A few weeks later I have this:
