Anytime sir , always trying to learn more about rosin pressing when I can so I’m glad we share the same interests :) appreciate the chat.

If your material gets on the little dry side I’ve noticed that either freezing it for bubble hash or making dry sift and turning that into rosin is usually a little more bountiful than pressing dry nugs.

Anyhow, take care.
Too many hours wet and cold. Taking a break. Join my pursuit. Honest chat always welcomed. Peace.

I also experimented and tried pressing with 37u bags, I noticed that you can't apply near as much pressure before having a blowout. The quality comes out great if done low pressure. 90u bags have been my go to.

Pre pressing eliminates blow outs. Adds heat and time though. Pressure as well. Tends to be darker and harder.

Just ran that pic through 100 inside 150. Sponged my best material. Have to make butter with the bags and pucks. Loaded still.

I've been doing the bottletech and noticed my returns have been pretty decent lately. Consistent around 18-20%, I had my best at 24% using bottletech

Here is some flower rosin I pressed a couple years ago. Pressed this pretty much the moment the flower was ready. Pressed at 190 if I remember correctly.

Delayed in my start. Past prime buds for this. All good enough for the girls I go with. LOL.

Nice stuff.
I hear ya. My head stash is a little lower than I'd like at the moment so I just ran some larf and nice trim that sat around waaaaaay to long. Like 9 months too long lol. That shit gets me where I need to be, but it looks like pipe resin and the smell and taste is extremely muted. Your stuff looks a hell of a lot better than what I'm dabbing at the moment! Honestly, the bit of green in your flower rosin could potentially be from over pressing. Do you have a ballpark of how many psi are on the bag during pressing? Sometimes plant fats and chlorophyll can get pressed through the bag if you exceed a certain pressure. Just thinking aloud.

I can only guess at around 1200PSI with dry buds. Around 700 with more RH. I've run enough to have ordered more bags and bought parchment paper from the commercial suppliers. Not one press acted the same with flower. Bubble seems more consistent.

Thats actually a great point. Flower has this extremely short goldilocks zone for getting the best possible extraction. I've always had more consistent results with dry sift and bubble and I feel like if stored properly you have a lot more time to get your extraction done. I do tend to prefer the flavor of my flower rosin over my bubble rosin. Not sure why.

I keep my bubble frozen after drying. It has a window. But have yet to find the end. Keep the thoughts and trials coming. I'm in cabin fever hell and only just became winter. LOL.

I'm using 2"x4". beginning to not use at all. Retains too much resin, increases pressure needed and just an un-needed pain. I have a ziplock full of nasty bags I now have to decarb in an oil. And still wasting yield.

I hope this helps. I'll share all I know. Just poke me.

Best wishes.

I forgot to add I run 25, 73 and 90 micron bags. None make me happy. I suggest Arizona Press Club bags. Cheapest I found. And good quality so far. And get the expensive quality parchment paper. It matters alot.
