If it was just sitting out it has probably lost all potency, the only way I'd try to salvage it is maybe with water curing, like you suggested https://www.rollitup.org/view.php?pg=faq&cmd=article&id=434

I know light degrades THC, and I read on a FAQ at overgrow while it was up that extended exposure to air does too.
